Author Topic: I came out to my mom this morning (The Gay Megathread)  (Read 20017 times)

He's saying you can't empirically prove homoloveuality exists. It's plausible yet exceedingly unlikely that someone claiming to be homoloveual is pretending.
It's ridiculous to suggest that every single homoloveual that has ever existed, from the beginning of it being recorded, to now, was pretending
You know someone isn't "pretending" because they are having relationships and love with same-love, and enjoying it. Is that not enough? What, are you going to claim they're only pretending to enjoy it? That they're only "pretending" that this same-love picture or real life person is making them horny? That they're only "pretending" to have an erection looking at it? That they're only "pretending" that they only have romantic feelings towards same-love? What more do you want?
And for what person do you care if someone is pre

My friend now owes me 5$ because I made a bet that the furry megathread people would be in this thread.

Thanks for the free money, guys!
Not much of a bet considering many of them are just active in general.
Especially Night Fox, he's the highest poster
Plus what dooble said. Tons of furries are gay/bi

Yeah bad wording sorry.
wow I called him two of the most tame insults I could possibly call someone. let it go
the fact is that nobody is debating the grass or 1 + 1
?????
majority rule doesn't apply to facts

Yeah but loveuality isn't defined by how you express it, it's defined by what love you enjoy having a relationship with, and that's not a choice.

I think that enjoyment is actually partly choice and partly an inevitable....rub-off I guess you could say (can't think of a good word for it right now).  By an inevitable rub-off, I'm meaning that you start finding enjoyment out of stuff that your life is loosely based on by the immediate world around you.  If you are raised in a ghetto neighborhood, you're likely to enjoy walking around and gangs and beating kids up.  In an upper-class suburb, you're probably going to like golf, spectator sports, etc.

How come every topic like this turns into an argument

Nope

What you're talking about now is sociology. This is correct for these examples.
But loveuality isn't socially defined. The need for love and a partner is a deeply-engrained, primitive instinct.

Yeah, Most of the Regulars there are a large amount of the people who post regularly.
even I guess I can consider myself someone who posts a lot considering I posted about 200 times in one day on my alt once.

This as well, although I guess I'm the rare one that isn't.

My dad is an electrical engineer and I live in a big-ish-sized house with two married straight parents who love sports, more specifically golf and hate video games. They also have conservative political views.

I want to be a teacher. I don't want to live in a big house or even a house at all, I want to live in an apartment. I hate sports, more specifically golf, but love video games. I have more liberal political views. I'm gay.

Your argument is invalid as far as I'm concerned.

I walked in the door and my mom said I shouldn't be scared to talk to her about anything, and asked if I wanted to tell her anything else. I said no, and that was that.

Everything I say must go through the Forum Critic Processor.
