Author Topic: Malaysian Airways flight MH370 has disappeared  (Read 11834 times)

What's confusing is why the crew didn't squawk 77 (distress call) if something was wrong. The signal that was last sent was not a distress signal and the crew had not said anything of technical difficulties throughout the course of the flight.

It just disappeared. Like it just lost all power or disintegrated.

It's pretty rare for an aircraft to get struck by lighting because:
1- It's not touching ground (But doesn't mean it doesn't have a chance to get struck)
2- Pilots aren't supposed to fly through cumulonimbus clouds.
I meant just getting struck in general.

There's been several cases where commercial airliners have collided in mid-air, that couldn't have happened because no other airliner was giving off a signal in the same proximity as MH370.

Really whatever caused the plane to go down must've been really quick considering they didn't send a distress call.
It could be something like a Missile or something?

They still could've sent a distress call if it was a missile, that's not the investigation.

They stopped responding to ATC.

I'm guessing they lost both engines, thus losing battery power and went down without radios/being on radar.
