Looks like cod with mechs like black light retribution and jet packs like Tribes.

Titanfall is automatically better than CoD by virtue of mechs and parkour.

However, it's plagued by a few problems that make it a little more bullstuff and a little less skill-based (I still hate the whole progression/unlocking model, it bothered me in 2142 and it bothers me now). Nowhere near the extent of CoD, though.

It's also 60 bucks so forget that.

its fine cause battlefield is just like cod, only with large maps. bioshock is just like cod except with a storyline. starwars battlefront is just like cod except its reskinned to be starwars. counter strike is just like cod but easier--no iron sights!

The difference being that Titanfall actually LOOKS like CoD unlike everything you've mentioned. Yeah, it doesn't have the EXACT gameplay, no stuff, but it sure as hell resembles it a lot in terms of its UI and weapon animations.

and I know you're not being serious, but wtf Counter-Strike easier than CoD? CoD is the very definition of casual FPS and CS is a staple of competitive gaming.

the jetpacks aren't at all like tribes
in my experience the jetpacks in titanfall are only there for double jumps, theres no continuous, stable ascension or high speed skiing
it's like cod but everyone's the scout from tf2

and with a much smoother parkour system than Brink.

of course im not being serious and of course cs is not easier than cod. it's cause this rts legend over here thinks that because a game looks like cod, it plays just like it too.

well it's a lot closer to being a CoD "clone" than "the next big leap in FPS"

How about we stop focusing on the fact that it looks similar to CoD and other games and instead focus on how it looks as a game itself. I never would have thought that a game could combine fast paced parkour with somewhat slower paced mech combat into one game. The gameplay itself is what kept me playing the alpha and beta as much as I could. Even though it only had 2 maps and limited weapons, I still found myself enjoying the game for its gameplay, unlike other games which focus much more on things like customization or large scale combat in an effort to try and hide its fairly boring gameplay. Im picking the game up this weekend and I can already tell that this will be my FPS game of choice for quite some time.

The jets are technically used in wall running too, it's just not as apparent. :P
