Are they custom animated in any way, like Deadzone's? Or are they just the average Left mouse button/done deal.
I know you have some experience with animated swords, lets take a look at one of your past creations, the Galaxia (MetaKnight's Sword).
Why didn't you custom animate all your other swords (excluding the Z-Saber). It makes the Galaxia appear out of place, like it was made by an entirely different person.
Give your weapons some flare instead of the repetitive up-down-up-down ordeal.
Only the first few entries in the pack are standard implementations. All of the other weapons  (Reshef, Galaxia, Z-Saber, Giant's Knife/BigGoron's Sword, and Soul Calibur) have custom animations and custom swing systems, one of which (Z-saber) was so loving complex that I wasn't able to muster up the drive to finish it and the other (Reshef) never worked very well because of how torque blends animations.

I plan to fix/update everything, but I really need to focus on one thing at a time if I don't want to get overwhelmed.

I understand, I was just worried that you would forget about your previous works because of your new(er) projects.

Eh. You're not utilizing your modeling capabilities in the right place. Your models are way too complicated to be flatshaded. It just looks awkward with all the skinny, intricate details. Especially with all the flat colors. They look like space ships gone bad.

Are you kidding me? I use smoothing all the time.

And just what is "awkward" about these?

The new SLC, sure, but that's not even close to being finished so it's not exactly fair to criticize it yet

I noticed. I still stand by my statement that your models are far too detailed to have flat colors and such. And maybe theres just too many add-ons/connections and weird details going on.

What models are you even talking about? My new works aren't nearly as clusterforgeted with pointlessly intricate details as my older creations :/

And I'm sorry if you don't like my solid colors and flat shading, but that's just how Blockland loving looks.

Also that render is way outdated, I hated how that looked, I completely tore it apart and started over.

Then that just reinforces my point
What? What reinforces your point? What point are you even trying to make?

I realize it looks like stuff, I hated how that looked, why do you think I scrapped almost the entire front half of the weapon and started over

khain has a quote

umm
lemme fetch

shut the forget up all of you complaining about his style and how it looks "out of place".

keep in mind that people have different tastes, sure it might not fit blockland for you but for others it'll fit.

seriously stop trying to change his style i think it's fine as it is.

There's a difference between "having your own style" and "making demented clusterforgets of polygons".

The version of the SLC he was complaining about is most certainly the latter, not the former.

I was getting pissed not because he was criticizing me, but because he was criticizing a 4 times outdated revision of an incomplete model, and I thought he was criticizing all of my work in general. I did have issues with detail clutter in the past but I've been working very hard to remedy that, which is why I was so touchy about it.

Just curious, takato. I see you're using Sketchup - how well does exporting to Blender work for you, and what method do you use?
