Author Topic: EARTHQUAKE SCIENCE CLASS PROJECT IN BLOCKLAND [it didnt happen :(]  (Read 4871 times)

I guess that would be possible to do with the vote mod thing (example: Earthquakes are caused by UFOs. Is this true? /yes /no) However, you should be controlling everything that happens. It could have the Deathrun style, where you are death and everyone is a Runner. You'd have to create proper events so that something happens if they get the question wrong/right.

Shaders Off
Shaders On

Are you asking which one looks better or something?

Because shaders off looks better IMO,

I don't notice much, but if I have to give my opinion, I think if its dark it would be better without shaders.

I'm working under 'minimal' to make sure everything still looks how its supposed to be with shaders off because I doubt the school's computers can run that.

Minimal is the way to go. It gives off a nice effect and almost every computer can run it.

You can buy bl now for 3.50. cheapest it's ever been.

If you need more keys this is the only time to buy em lol

Holy forget 3.50?!
I need to buy one, brb.

Already bought 3 more keys.

I found a method for the questions.

Now I just need a build.. A better one..

If needed I can help/provide a small default town in a canyon type valley.

I'm going to be modifying the build I showcased earlier, because the outside of the map works perfectly. I can make it go in stages like that. What I do need is for the interiors to look more homey, like we're dashing from house to house, but at the same time be open enough for 20+ people to be in one at the same time.

if you're doing a project about earthquakes use garry's mod. it'll be ten times more easier for you than using it on blockland imo

I'd need to purchase multiple copies for it.

Anyways, so, apparently we're ALREADY doing an online simulator on Tuesday, un-cool web-based, but my thing is going Wednesday.
stuff must have gone by word of mouth because when my teacher said the first simulator, someone asked if I made it, and she replied that we're trying mine on Wednesday. Somebody else even said that that was his question, too. I asked around and people seemed to be pretty cool with the idea as well, so I guess people liked the idea and started spreading it.

Double post, sorry! But, I have an update.

So today, I was going to test Blockland on the computers, but I did not have the necessary launch files to do so. However, I had the Next Car Game's files on the USB from a sleepover I did a few days ago. I loaded that up on the computer, played on lowest graphics. And guess what, it worked. Laggy, but it worked. And to make matters better than game takes a hell of a computer to run the game, go look at gameplay or something.
This means that the school computers, especially in the computer lab we're using, as loving stuffty as they are, WILL run Blockland atleast on no shaders at all.

Another note is that this will be on tomorrow at school! I'll bring fraps and I'll take some pictures, and I'll be making a video later on so me, and the teacher and maybe even the students can look back at this fabulous moment. So far, I've only got a few segments of the build to finish, all of which are very quick to complete. I will definitely look into running a server of such a genre, but with less questions and more explosions, publicly afterwards within a week.
