Thanks guys! Burning Debian to DVD now.

I guess DDC is a pusillanimous individual then since he rm -rf'd his blockland hacking forum :cookieMonster:

Hope you're happy with your new install!

EDIT: I just repurposed an old computer with an outdated graphics card. I'm using it as a server for Minecraft using bukkit.
Because the graphics card is outdated, I can only use the cli. That's why I made it a server. Tmux has saved my life.

Does screen have easier keyboard shortcuts? Tmux makes no sense to me.

ctrl+a c = create screen
ctrl+a n = cycle to next screen
ctrl+a d = disconnect from screen
screen -r = connect to screen

All you ever need to know.

forget, I've been using the tiling commands. I didn't even know there was the equivalent of workspaces in tmux.

Those were commands for screen, not tmux

I know tmux does do detaching though.

o ok. I think I'll stick with tmux. I already know what I need to for my purposes.

Can anyone tell me how to burn Grub 2 to CD? I didn't install a bootloader in Debian because it didn't have what I wanted.

That's a stuffty reason to not install a bootloader. I think you have to reinstall if you can't boot. Maybe you could retrieve any files using a live cd before you do though?

ctrl+b c will let you create a new shell
ctrl+b n will let you cycle through them

I actually have a bootloader already, it's just I'm having a lot of trouble accessing it.
Anyway, I'm having a lot of trouble with Debian, so I'm thinking of converting to something different. Can someone recommend me an OS that looks nice, but isn't too big?
