Author Topic: The Lego Movie VS. Frozen  (Read 22927 times)

Hand Drawn is generally better to look at over CGI in my opinion. It doesn't look like stuff after a few years when better graphics are engineered.
that's not really related to anything I said, but alright. traditional art can become outdated, though

don't know why i'm wasting my time...

Except the lego movie was meant to look like Stop-motion animation that was the art style which it did a great job animating it to simulate stop-motion animation. THAT WAS THEIR ONE JOB TO DO AND THEY DID IT!

just in the trailer I can think of plenty of things that don't "simulate stop-motion animation". Like, all of it.
And are you saying that Frozen is supposed to look like some kind of very realistic movie in terms of the art style??

I've seen better animations on a drawn cartoon than I have in frozen.

...irrelevant?

"A little" is not enough to be considered as a facial expression. They put very little effort in it.

Human eyebrows don't even curl that much what the forget
And why does "a little" not count as a facial expression? Is the ENTIRE REST OF THE FACE not relevant to a facial expression??
also putting very little effort into something apparently means spending lots of time on how ice crystals form, how snow works, how ice interacts with light, advanced models on the face to express a wider range of emotions, and so on...

So many white knights for a movie. Anything with a female lead and they will fight to the death to save her.

i've never seen either movie...

i wasn't aware that CGI looks like stuff after a few years
You can MAYBE make that argument for some early CGI but aside from that it doesn't really work...

i've never seen either movie...

Then why are you forming an opinion?

don't know why i'm wasting my time...

Because you are defending a CGI character which you've never seen before because it is a female waifu.

Yet it is impossible for them to NOT animate hair going through her shoulder. They can't hide this with a fancy camera angle.

lol

Quote from: IMDB
When Elsa lets her hair down during "Let It Go", her braid goes through her left arm. This was an intentional shortcut taken by the animators since modeling it physically correct turned out to be too difficult.

Uh, that's a short animation error? In a movie that's quite over an hour long?

There is many more animation errors, Mr. White Knight.

Then why are you forming an opinion?

hey tony. Shut up. You were doing fine for the longest time and I almost forgot about your past. But this? You are making statements that make no sense and you are obviously just trying to make someone mad or upset.

"Frozen has stuffty animation"
"Lego movie has better facial expresions"

that is the stupidest stuff ive ever heard. You are just trying to upset people and pick a fight. You are really the only guy left in this thread who is still bashing frozen. Just stop and lock the thread or something.

Do explain.

I think you're a little upset because Lego Movie is at 76% and Frozen is at 23% in the poll.

The forums have spoken, stop being mad about it.

im not all that mad. stuff I voted for the lego movie. I could really care less about you bashing frozen. But the fact that you are talking about the dumbest stuff and making up stuff just to pick a fight is stupid and pathetic.

I wouldn't say outdated, but I would say thing go out of style.

Okay, then CGI doesn't go outdated, just out of style.

Whole art movements go out style, graphics date.
