Screenshots of current progress?

inb4 Bones.

You have NO CLUE how much work has gone into the Titanic and I, for one, can't wait to see your half baked mini version of the build that the Titanic team have put hundreds of hours of work into.

Let me start off by saying that I have no issue with the OP wanting to build Titanic. Who cares? My issue is how underappreciated our build apparently is. The Nasa builds? I've been hosting them for about two weeks. I'm just changing the scenery for a bit to keep things fresh. I'm not giving up on titanic. Jesus Christ you people are dense. As for the "slow work", apparently you forget how big the ship is. Since the exterior is nearly complete, new progress from this point forward will obviously be less noticeable. Especially when you can walk around the ship for a half hour and still not see everything. The big thing here... I'm ACTIVE DUTY military. Of course I won't be online all the time and working nonstop. I'm extremely busy. However, when I do work, I would argue that it's faster than most builds are. Keep in mind that every "small" part of the ship is as big and more complicated than most individual blockland builds I see. I'm not trying to sound egotistical, but it's true. For example, look at the work Nasaboy3000 did in the engine room.

Let me help you out there

Forum folk will probably riot when I deploy this summer. 8 months with no Titanic. Oh no.

Above all I am actually curious what the "finished" version of the hull looks like right now.

thing is, i don't feel it's a richard move to necessarily want to create and try to finish something because they feel as if another person is doing it pretty slowly
it doesn't slow bones4 down at all? shouldn't even affect him

from what i can tell tho, that is all the op is doing and it's not really implying he wants all the hype of titanic to suddenly go to him? you're implying that he is, which is pretty unnecessary

heck, if he wanted all hype to go over to him he would have acted roostery and all in this topic saying his would be better, but he didn't
i find it pretty richard of you to just assume he is doing this for fame, and pretty much dismiss what he is doing.
maybe he really wants to see it finished? or is doing it out of pure boredom

either way OT: I like what op is doing and would love to see a variant of the titanic build. even if it is not as good, still cool imo
The only reason you'd ever make a topic about a build you have yet to start is to raise hype or look for help. Since he's not looking for help, it's pretty obvious he's looking to raise awareness about his project. The issue I have with it is that he's not necessarily trying to steal the hype, but that he's disrespecting the people who have put hundreds of hours into building something by releasing what has been repeatedly called a half baked version of what everyone's been waiting for. The solution to something taking too long to be made is not to make a stufftier version in less time.

It's an extremely starfish move to copy someone's project with a goal of creating a lower quality version to release before that one comes out. It's very disrespectful to the creators of the original project.
Except he's not copying his project? Since when does Bones4 own the copyright material on the Titanic's historical blueprints?

Fyi have you ever heard of a Mockbuster?

even if someone makes a stufftier version of titanic why should it be disrespectful to post a topic about it?
Seriously people get too worked up over this lol

I'll be hosting Titanic for the rest of the night. Maybe this will tide some people over.

Holy crap, I love that engine room.

Copying wasn't meant in the nonliteral way of stealing an idea, it was meant in the literal way of remaking something in the image of its previous incarnation. So, he is copying his project, he's just not stealing his project. Also, mockbusters are irrelevant because they take an artistic license on the idea given by the real blockbuster, OP is making the same thing as Bones just in a different way.

I don't see how you keep missing my point. I didn't say it's disrespectful to post a topic. I said it's disrespectful to take something someone is putting a lot of time into and remake it in a short amount of time because you're dissatisfied with waiting for it. You mixed two of my points together; the point about making the topic was that he is indeed looking for recognition for his project.

maybe people are sick of it? or sick of waiting?
hes restarted the project a dozen times over the last 6 years and maybe 1 was completed. but it was small and at the scale of what op wants to do. and there is no existing save (probably)

titanic+blockland is the huge dead horse that has been beat endlessly. who is left thats even excited about it?
it feels like those million indie games that hype their stuff up then spend 4 years in development without any progress. people stop caring.

If people are sick of it they wouldn't want to build it. Sick of waiting is kind of a 'too bad' kind of deal, you can go ahead and build it yourself but I'm still going to call you an starfish for insulting the hard work that's gone into the previous generation with your low quality new generation.

so i guess no more houses or castles then right? i mean they have been done to death. just play someone else's.
or do they own some kind of modeling rights for blockland versions of the titanic.
you are being ridiculous. this topic has nothing to do with bones or existing titanics.

its rare enough to find blocklanders that want to build anymore. go stifle a project. yeah forget everyone.
