Have you tried DayZ Epoch?

anything using the arma 3 engine is trash, way too hard to use and its really not my cup of tea. that engine was not made for anything like a zombie apocalypse game or survival style game. wouldn't touch it.

the genres been done a lot but its never really been done well at all. I'm still waiting for an open world zombie survival with basebuilding that is actually decent.
have you tried state of decay? i've heard it was pretty good

So its basically the H1N1 Swine Flu virus but instead of making you sneeze alot makes you eat people.

Ill get it for the PS4, its free after all.

but its not built for these kinds of games
what are you even talking about? it's built for exactly these types of games. it's designed as an engine capable of far-reaching modification that can turn it into something entirely new, arma 3 is spectacular at that.

using arma as the base for a zombie survival game is a terrible idea because not everybody wants to play it using a loving military simulator with clunky-ass movement and handicapped amounts of keybinds and special movement types. i want a game thats movement is nice and flowing and isnt held back by military simulator controls

I'm sorry but anyone who seriously considers the controls in ARMA, especially ARMA 3, to be complicated/convoluted/clunky hasn't played the game for more than a few minutes or an hour at most. There may well be a few more keybinds for movement than your average FPS but it's nothing that you can't do with one hand.

Agreed. In fact you start to like the movement in Arma with the extra stances for a example after a while. But it can be clunky sometimes and you have to admit that. Much more so in 2 than 3.

My only problem with DayZ in arma is the fact that zombies always went through walls
if this game doesn't have that problem and has good physics I'll be interested.
