YouTube gameplay crap
Apr 17 stream (I didn't watch it so idk what's in it)
Looks like a combination of DayZ and Rust. Also it's going to be $20 early access on steam then free to play. AND it's going to be on PS4.

forget these types of games.
Why are there so many

There are so many because 1) Zombies are popular 2) Survival is popular 3) People like them.

Is that really so hard to understand?

Seems like the devs of PlanetSide 2 are making this so I might keep my eye on this if they don't water it down.

If this is them I only expect amazing things.

I don't feel like this genre is done to death yet. DayZ hasn't delivered on all the features it's promised (and when it had in the Arma 2 version, it was stuffty and buggy anyway) and Rust is just one game. I feel like H1Z1 sees there's a good chance to swoop in and take DayZ's market before they release fully. H1Z1 will probably have a lower pricepoint if it goes into beta as well.

4) DayZ devs take loving ages to get anything done, so other people cash in.

why the forget dont they hire more people??? they're rolling in cash

why the forget dont they hire more people??? they're rolling in cash
Then they'd have to pay more people and lose some of that money they're rolling in

i mean yeah that's obviously the reason
but come on ;-;

the problem is that it's going to be f2p.

microtransactions and mmo survival do NOT mix.

oh my god are you serious
this is amazing

the genres been done a lot but its never really been done well at all. I'm still waiting for an open world zombie survival with basebuilding that is actually decent.

Apparently my brother was concerned about that but he looked into it and as far as he could tell it's gonna be limited to cosmetics only. Can't confirm that myself since I don't really enjoy these kinds of games but yeah, that's what I've heard.

Have you tried DayZ Epoch?

thus far, smedley has said on the reddit I think that they're not going to be able to buy things like guns and food for real money, only less gamechanging stuff.

Quite frankly SOE is the only company I'd put trust in not to make a f2p p2w game. They did good on planetside 2, yeah you can buy guns, but they're only sidegrades compared to the starter guns. They do better in one respect but are absolutely terrible others.

I could be wrong but isn't the dayz dev team like at least a 50 man team. I remember reading somewhere that they were.

isnt DayZ Epoch really buggy? :o
