My only problem with DayZ in arma is the fact that zombies always went through walls
if this game doesn't have that problem and has good physics I'll be interested.
iirc that's a lot less of a problem in Arma 3 Breaking Point so if you have A3 give that a try

Agreed. In fact you start to like the movement in Arma with the extra stances for a example after a while. But it can be clunky sometimes and you have to admit that. Much more so in 2 than 3.

The only control that I've ever considered clunky is the mouse-wheel context menu, but that's just how it is with contextual controls

Oh god the scroll menu is the worst part of Arma.

I'm sorry but anyone who seriously considers the controls in ARMA, especially ARMA 3, to be complicated/convoluted/clunky hasn't played the game for more than a few minutes or an hour at most. There may well be a few more keybinds for movement than your average FPS but it's nothing that you can't do with one hand.

or somebody that doesnt want to deal with a forgetin simulator sorry

i just need smooth movement and complete control of my character

It's not hard to get used to you know.

Except I'd rather have fun than spend an hour doing something I don't like.

I don't know if I play Arma wrong or something but I find it to be a big walking simulator

I don't get everyone's problem with ARMA's movement. WASD walks, mouse aims, left click shoots, right click aims, x crouches. Exactly like every single other FPS. There's other possibilities, but they definately aren't necessary to play the game.

one problem is how unoptimized the arma engine is

precisely.

People will cry and make threats and fight for refunds over some bugs on a bf or cod game.
But when the Arma games take 2 years for a memory leak fix. Those fans could not give a forget.
Either because hipsters needing to justify the niche market. Or they aren't comp savvy enough to know the issues.

Maybe because Arma/DayZ are about a billion times more fun than Call of Duty or Battlefield so it's worth the bugs. I'm gonna be honest DayZ is riddled with a stuff ton of bugs and Bohemia is doing forget all to do anything about them and is just adding in new stuff instead but the game is still fun. Same with Arma itself except it doesn't have nearly as many issues as DayZ.

If you don't have the patience to learn controls for a game then you don't have the patience for Arma anyway.

dayz is pvp done right, that's why people play it, not because they're immersed in the environment or a complicated story they must roleplay

when will they learn
