Ton of new users who I have to "adapt" to. Do i like it? No. Some of the users are okay. Some of them are incredibly annoying.
Deal with it dude. There have always been people who may be kind of annoying or act handicapped, but letting them get to you is a problem that has to do with yourself, not them. Learn to tolerate differences in others rather than assaulting them for it. I've followed this philosophy for many years and it's helped me deal with irritable and argumentative people by me knowing there is hope for them, rather than yelling at them something like "God hates you, go to hell".
But when it comes to trolls and people that do nothing but create problems on the forums (eg. lord tony/arthur5555/pacnet/okiver), I believe it's acceptable to let them know they aren't welcome here, but in a reasonable and logical way. For example, with Arthur5555, it'd be "I wish you'd stop making stupid threads, and here is my reason why..."
Another thing is wtf actually happened to the forums. I mean, off topic is just a bunch of megathreads and fads or whatever.
What's so bad about megathreads? They help keep multiple people interested in one topic clustered together in a single thread rather than spamming the board. Imagine how much of a nightmare it would be if instead of the one MLP and furry megathreads, we had hundreds of small pony and furry topics flooding the board. It's why people say "Keep it in the pony thread please".
Nothing interesting goes on in off topic anymore.
I beg to differ! Have you seen the thread about the crCIA in ukraine, or the cool thread about the newly proposed russian space hotel? There's tons of awesome stuff to read about, you must just not be looking hard enough, or perhaps your standards are unrealistically high.
The last thing I want to address is drama. Ive never seen a more stuff flinging place. I mean yeah drama has always been bad, but come on.
Mind explaining how it's changed? Aside from the once-a-month joke drama, everything in the board is completely legitimate drama. A backfired drama is legitimate because it's created a new source of interest in why the user who posted it did such a bad job and lost his support. A poorly-put-together drama by someone like, oh, arthur5555, is a legit drama because the real drama ends up being about how bad the OP was.
Also where the forget is the actual drama? Where is stocking? Lord Tony? Where are you people. These drama topics about the littlest issues nowadays are annoying in my opinion. Arthur5555, for example, and a few others I dont feel like getting the names of.
I fail to see how arthur5555 being a source of drama is any different from that of Stocking or Lord Tony.
