Author Topic: nintendo will not allow gamers to be gay in next game  (Read 4252 times)

This is really stupid. Oh my god, a company is catering to like 95% of the population as opposed to like 3%! How terrible! Like, seriously?

Interesting, actually. The "Woman-Hater Test" is very interesting.

What about the other 2%?

What about the other 2%?
Biloveual, panloveual, omniloveual, aloveual, prefixloveual, etc.

The real question is, why the hell do people want gay marriage in a loving E-RATED GAME?

Well geez. It wouldn't be hard to include the option to let same-love relationships occur. I can only imagine it would be a line or two of code removed. It probably just slipped NOA's mind or something, but not having the option is pretty mean. Imagine if a game like this didn't allow interracial relationships to occur?

It's not really about "wahh i wanna marry my boyfriend's mii". it's about the principle.

To Nintendo's credit, apparently they said they'd include it next time, whatever that means.

That means that if they make a second Tomodachi Life, they will include same-love relationships.
Duh.

So gay marriage is somehow inappropriate for children, and straight marriage is not?

the REAL question is why nintendo is weebing out and not calling it "Friend Life"

So gay marriage is somehow inappropriate for children, and straight marriage is not?
he wasn't saying that

Honestly I'm on nintendo's side for this one.

Oh no. If the gays spend less time playing video games, they'll spend more time procreating and making gay monster babies.

This is kind of a dumb way of thinking. They're mean for not including a feature? I don't exactly see how it's rude. It's not even legal in half the US, and it's not like they removed it from a past iteration or anything. Are they rude for not letting Miis have a hermaphrodite option? Rude for not letting them have an albino skin color? No, of course not! So how is it rude to not include gay marriage? I'm all for gay marriage, but getting pissed at Nintendo for something this trivial and insignificant is just plain stupid. I honestly have no clue how this is rude in any way.

why are games forced to be different by including gay characters? so gta doesn't have a gay protagonist or a female protagonist. let's make it illegal...

i dont even care if they put in gay characters or not. but this is different. the developers purposefully withheld the option to have gay relationships.

You understand that by the nature of programming they would have had to purposefully include the condition that you must be of opposite lovees to be married? It's not like it would have been extra work, it would have literally been less. They probably just wanted to avoid making a political statement, but we should not be pushing the idea that only straight marriages are real. Whether it's legal in the US is irrelevant.
