you wouldn't abandon Google based on principle
I wouldn't make myself as dependant on Google as I would an actual employer in the first place, that's dumb.
That said, if I was actually employed and my employed started to screw over my co-workers badly enough, I'd strike.
Ultimately Google can't do anything if the userbase doesn't let them, it's their fault.

also imo that stupid stuff that people like pewdiepie and other top-earners do for their money really shouldn't be deserving of an income
then again you can say that about a lot of celebrities

true dat

In itself, Google is trying to buy out the popular websites to get a wider range of "apps" for itself and more revenue. The best they can do is actually not touch Twitch and let the current development team handle it under the eye of Google.

The worse they can do is do some stupid stuff and change everything.

Can we re-animate Taft? We need more obesity and trust-busting in the white house

If Google is smart, which they are, they won't push G+ onto twitch users. They'll probably be forced to create some kind of DMCA compliance system nevertheless.

Does anyone have any ideas about competing with Youtube? How could it be done?

Google has complete control of whatever is posted on that site.
Just because they choose not to exercise it often or publicly doesn't mean they don't have it.
That and it's pretty much a monopoly.

And people who make a living off Youtube are the dumb :|
It's interesting to see all the big-name youtubers pushing people to go to their websites for early content. Very smart.

Step 1: $$$.

I can't wait until google buys mojang.

Mabe with google loving up twitch they wont have to screw over youtube anymore and can finally fix it up once and for all.

NOOOO! Twitch was my thing! Now we're gonna have to connect our google+ stuff to it!!

Why does everyone think they'll force google+
they said they were going to start releasing the linked channels with google+ on youtube soon and fix the comment issues because of how much of a flop it was
why do people think they're just going to resort to doing that to twitch

i dont understand why everyone hates google so much anyway
theyre kinda like the justin bieber (before he actually did dumb stuff) of the internet world

Maybe now twitch will actually work.
