Aren't you supposed to need a joystick to fly sim-battles?

You should use one, but it's not nessecary.

ok yep joystick is required

ok yep joystick is required

not really. On CBT you don't need joystick to play on sim tanks and planes simultaneously

I crashed on a tree

Somehow, trees are still the bane of everybody in the game, tankers and pilots alike.

aparently, AI T-26s can run over the big undestroyable trees where the KV2 can't

F2 AGAIN NOOOOOOOOOO

so i started up war thunder

no 3 GB update

but when i played it, it ran just fine.

the game's more fun than i expected it to be, but i've only been playing arcade battles so far

Got into a spin and died :s

Very exciting

I love going into really intense intentional spins while an enemy is chasing you then getting out of it and onto his tail.

How do you even recover from/cause a spin?

hold pgdwn to cause it, press a if you're spinning right and d if you're spinning left

doesn't take any effort to even pull out of it so it's basically a trick to play on people

How do you even recover from/cause a spin?
opposite rudder, neutral everything else to recover.

I can usually put myself into a spin by just pulling back as hard as I can very abruptly. Which isn't realistic but whatever.

Alright got it.

I've been trying to recreate the conditions that caused the spin but I'm having no luck. I think the damage to my fuselage and wing had something to do with it

Can't you force most planes to spin in the RB flight-model by alternating rudder directions to yaw the plane out of control? I know you could do that in AB in the D13 a while back.
