99% of FtP models are pretty stupid to begin with.
Let me rephrase that: 99% of US gaming FTP models are pretty stupid to begin with. There are SOME good models though, sort of like how World Of Warcraft did it, for example.

If done correctly, F2P models gives you best value for money. Hearthstone is a good example.

Funcom is a good company, Anarchy Online was good, Bloodline Champions was/is awesome until the internet rudely abandoned it, And The Secret World is a unique little flower.

I played LU in the beta before membership bullstuff, it was and is probably my favorite MMO ever created. I was amazed at this crap and I would play for 3 days straight just to get a bloody gun so I can run around and shoot anything I see. However the moment they made it paid subscription, LEGO broke inside me, and I put them right next to EA and Activision on the 'loving bullstuff' game shelf.

This is basically diablo with more bricks. It looks like poop imo. And forget microtransactions to living hell.
