As for me, I like downloading games because it's more convenient.

Just beat classic on 7.0 intensity as bowser and unlocked Jr.
So far i've unlocked around 5 characters and nearly all the challenges

there's no need to have 30 flat stages
most tournament organizers allow stages as long as they dont have walls (infinites can be done against walls with certain characters) or hazards or walkoffs

I'm still deciding whether or not I want this game. I don't exactly have money lying around and the floatyness of this game doesn't really suit me, I don't know..

he didn't give us exactly what you wanted. theres no need for more than one flat stage. we need stages like pokemon stadium or battlefield or yoshi's story with walled ledges and different platform placements
believe it or not where the platforms are really helps some characters, esp. low tiers

i'm not berating him for not giving us what we want, since there are lots of tourney-usable stages in smash 4
it's just that he misunderstood what competitive players were looking for and made 30 flat stages when only one is needed (maybe two if you want them to vary in size or something)
it was a pointless undertaking
