That has been confirmed. You can also use custom characters from the 3DS version.

I am a Pro at hacking SSBB. I have put characters such as Tabuu, Pichu, and even Goku or Vegeta! I use this site called "Brawl Vault" I don't do it anymore but however Ocarina is good for hacking codes. If you want characters like Goku download the hack of him here:

After you downloaded it,. put it in Private: Make a folder named that. in wii/app/RSBE/Fighter/Pit which you should also add

Make the folders I told you to.

However you can download the hacks of your liking instead if you don't want Goku, this site has 1000's of hacks. Do the same except don't do the Pit folder. In the Fighter folder name it the character the hack is over such as files as Fit[Fightername].pac or something. More information of this can be found at: http://brawlhacks.wikia.com/wiki/The_File_Placing_and_Naming_Guide  You can hack CSP's (selection portraits) and Music and Stages. Right now we are in the characters.

P.S when there are different files in the Goku one such as FitPitGod that means an alt which is SSJ God from the movie DBZ: Battle of Gods which recently came out in DVD.

EDIT: Also when I said I don't do it more I ment not as much but I still do it. If you want stages download a stage hack and do this: private/wii/app/RSBE/Stage/Melee. And insert the stage hack. if it's like this example: STGFINAL.PAC then that hack goes over the Final Destination stage.

But you would need to ocarina code manager or download a preloaded GCT which is in some hack packs which you may not be good with so you can download one if you don't feel like this.
