Author Topic: Ubisoft removes female asassins in next asassin's creed - Tumblr loses it  (Read 19238 times)

If they threw in a female character they'd just complain about boob physics, being scantidily dressed, too much make up, being a love object, too skinny, etc, etc.

Exactly this. Social justice warriors cannot be pleased, ever.

There's a large difference between a legitimate concern. (Ubisoft dropping an entire gender because they're stuff at making games)
And a bunch of people looking for a reason to complain. (See: Anita Sarkeesian)

But yet again, I don't expect much from you two.

If they threwn in a female character they'd just complain about boob physics, being scantidily dressed, too much make up, being a love object, too skinny, etc, etc.
the last book in Ranger's Apprentice just shoved a tom-boyish princess into a ranger position.

well executed. all you can do it just make the girl "having boy behavior".

I never hear anything like that unless its like super extreme. Like when its totally obvious that the character is only for love appeal.

Off topic but is that picture from a game or was there some kind of episode where everything became 3D?

that whole episode turns into a massive broken gif

well that's not nice ubisoft but wHOA HOLY stuff TUMBLR PUT THE GUN DOWN

As a tumblr user, I can say it's like a million times worse on twitter.

maybe ubi just wanted to sell more games.
why jinx themselves now.

Because believe it or not, they're only harming their sales, even moreso making people less faithful after tossing out really bad games.

It really wouldn't hurt to take the 2 or so days (as an experienced animation director has estimated, one who's worked on a previous game in the series) to animate a playable female assassin.

either way people are overreacting
seriously just because they didn't animate women doesn't mean they're loveist
it's not like they don't think that female assassins don't exist iirc they had one at some point, maybe around ac2

actually i just remembered i don't like ubisoft because they overhype every single game to the point where the annoying popular song jingle is like bamboo under my fingernails and spam trailers at me with 100% cutscenes and ACTUALLY forget YOU UBISOFT FIGHT YOUR OWN loving BATTLES GEUSJIEK

Well no, but they used the lame excuse of "we'd have to redo 8000+ animations", when they actually didn't have to. The animation director on AC3 (I think) said that they would have to do far less than 8000 animations, and one of the people working on motion caps for Watch Dogs said that the female combat motion caps were nearly completely identical to the male ones.

Plus, it was actually a planned feature of the game. And apparently, it was in the last prototype (link).

There are also female assassins in the multiplayer why not use those animation rigs?
theres no multiplayer

theres no multiplayer
There is multiplayer. It's just co-op only. The removed female assassins in question were only for the co-op.
