The way the playertypes look, they remind me of that game made by a Brazilian developer "ZumbiBlocks"

Is it the lack of a stock and the recoil?

I could add that to the weapon for balance issues.
decreased weight + stock removed + already high recoil = impending wrist breaking

you could make it some slow-loading close-range 1HK weapon lol

Wait are you gonna make a weapon pack for the player models? Or is it gonna be like the old one with the commands still?

Considering typing commands in during combat would be frustrating the weapons will be ingame items but they will ONLY work with the player models, like Gravity Cats Mech.

The only commands we might have will be for other things like building or anything else we can put in.

bump because of ideas.

So I'm playing Bad Company 2'd Vietnam and I realized how much fun the XM22 is to fire and that it looks unique enough I'll make it the heavy gunner's main gun.

It's also from the groovy 60s

Should say this. Got no ideal appearances for a Vietnamese Demo, Medic, Mechanic, and Firebug. Looking at Battlefield : Vietnam didn't help me much. Perhaps people can tell me what they should look like and I'll draw them.

Btw what if the one shot thingy weapon was some slug round for a shotgun?

Heh, maybe that one bigass shotgun round for the m76 would be fun.

The Vietcong mechanic could be a sort of Vietnamese Doc Brown. White/grayed out hair, older-looking in some way, and skinnier/wimpier than the rest.
The firebug could be a guy with scavenged and random pieces of metal welded together and stolen American parts to make an improvised flamer.
The demo could probably be a little cartoony, with a woven backpack that has explosives sticking out. Maybe a little younger, too, just to amplify the effect.

Why is there no Spy?

Primary: Mosin Nagant Pistol
Secondary: AM/FM Electro Sapper
Melee: Butterfly Knife(With Backstabs)

There sort of is the sharpshooter is p much the lone wolf sneaky killer guy,

and if you wanna sneak up and wack someone from behind be my guest, these guys won't have cloaking devices though since I'm going for a sort of battlefield bad company like experience.

Everyone will be able to be seen by everyone else, if you want to sneak around be my guest just know that you'll have to be smart and stay out of sight.

Can there be a realistic disguise system?

Can there be a realistic disguise system?
If by blending into your environment via hiding then yes.

There might be something for the sharpshooter to make that he can hide undetected in but thats about it really.

If you don't like the mod's ideas, then who cares, not everything is perfect and copying also. How about you try to come up with something, something which is 100% ORIGINAL and UNIQUE.
I do like the mods ideas. And coming up with something "100% original and unique" is not as hard as you make it sound. I'm currently working a Sci-Fi RP for Blockland with it's own lore.

I personally like the art-style of the models, sure they can be nasty to some, but that is the beauty of originality.
I wasn't criticizing the art style. I was saying the Mechanic looks too much like TF2's engineer.

Also, if you are going to be a critic, do not be an ass, if you are being an ass, then to hell with you.
How am I being an ass? I love this mod, even if it could use more original concepts.
Even though the mod looks cool, this is looking way too similar to the Team Fortress series. Mostly TFC.

We just need to flood this guy with ideas.

How about giving the Demolitions expert the ability to disarm landmines?

Maybe we could have an FBI-like bodyguard/informant class which carries around an uzi and a handgun. His job is to supply the team with information about the enemy such as alerting people to the position of enemy snipers. He can hack computers/sentries/vehicles and open entrances for people. Or perhaps he could be the most effective class at gathering intel with his ability to create new entrances. Not a backstabbing assassin like the TF2 spy; more of a support class. Still thinking of ideas here.

Hi guys a little update here and some personal stuff regarding this mod:

I apologzie I haven't really done much work on this in the last few weeks, I had to deal with getting my "New driver" license (up here in canada it means I get to drive solo without any supervisors) which i did aquire btw and with summer coming to a close I was hanging out with some friends who are moving away since they have graduated and I've been searching for a job.

Also I've been a bit of a lazy ass and putting off work for a bit but a break is good as doing too much work would be troublesome for me, heh.

But anyways there's no real bad news here, I'm gonna be getting abck to work on this again and I'll be making some changes.

Actually make that ALOT of changes, nothing that will destroy the flow of the game though don't worry it's mostly some aesthetic stuff with a few minor gameplay changes.
Not to mention to OP really needs an overhaul with some stuff that's been talked about on the topic.

Don't worry though I'm going to get back to work on this right away and I'll be finishing up the Mechanic and then the Gunner, Medic, etc. until I have all the playermodels done, not rigged, but done.

One thing that I absolutely need help with if anybody can is importing player types from blender and exporting them with animations, if any of you guys know or have experience with this PM me or post something here ASAP, the quicker I get help with that stuff the faster this will come out and the faster we will get to testing these guys.

Just one final note for people if you get upset about changes or the current stuff keep in mind that this is still in it's development stage and stuff will change over time, I'll still listen to feedback though (even if I don't respond) and try my best to make this something many people will enjoy.

As for now I'm going to work on some models, perhaps I'll post some stuff in a little bit so keep an eye out! ;)
