I was inspired by that actually when I first tried.

So have I told you guys what me and Alphadian talked about a few weeks ago?

Were gonna be having buildables for each class, no sentry guns though but you do get a very deadly heavy machine gun.

We talked about stuff like medical stations (heal you in a radius) sandbags, defensive, and offensive structures, sniper encampments, ammo caches.

Oh and radar stations but I'll go into deal with that later ;)

No actual betatest day or anything but seeing as how I've gotten a bit farther with stuff it may be popping up soon.

I suppose at this point everything could be ingame, but we'd just have t-posing models.

Second, since this has the Vietnam War tone to it, might there perhaps be Viet Cong or rather any differentiation of teams in terms of uniforms and/or weaponry?

Funny I was just thinking about different team skins and stuff earlier.

Yeah once the main Vietnam era looking mercenary guys are done I will add some skin packs that you can use in a mini game, Vietcong or Guerrilla looking guys will be the first priority skinpack.

So say we had a GUI for this, and when making the teams you could choose from what skin pack you wanted to use.

Of course I'll put in some WW2, Cold War (NATO aswell), and some modern stuff but I'm also gonna include some unique stuff from some games like Max Payne 3's hire a thug corrupt police army, and Wolfenstein: The New Order's Dieselpunky national socialist's (because who doesn't want to defend the 50s American suburbs from the occupying national socialist Army?)

Although this stuff won't be coming out until the main part is done ;)

Yeah, although I don't wanna get too carried away with ideas XD

Btw I'm having some trouble with sounds, you see after playing Far Cry 3 I realized alot of the guns sound, pretty kick ass and wanted to use them for this (especially the heavy gun sound ooooh yeeeeahhh...) but I can;t find a download for them and I don;t have the game for PC so i can't extract them.

If any of you guys know where I can get em please tell me, I've looked on google and had no luck :c

Then use Audacity to record the sounds and then cut the video to the parts you want as sounds.
Or second, use an online youtube video downloader to get the sounds you want (some of them allow you to download clips of one part and then in another part. ex. 0:11 - 0:22).
Third, I could personally record the entire video in Audacity and you tell me which clips you want for the sounds.

Sorry no dev stuff recently been preoccupied with some stuff going on in my life.

On the bright side I'm watching Full Metal Jacket right now and am getting some ideas for this pack, aesthetically though.

So I did a little bit of work today and am stuck with the apperance of the Mechanic class, I'm not sure what else I can add to him to make him seem more, well mechanic like.

My friend suggested explosives, of course they'd be unuseable, just for looks.

Add some gadgets and stuff on his belt and straps.

My first sketch posted on the forums. I could always redraw it more to make it more clear. The welding helmet can be scrapped if that
is not what you are looking for.

Tool belt is basically what I was thinking, and I really like the idea of a welding mask.
