Qwepir i'm pretty sure I fired a missile at the Viggen and not the Sabre

I got my serial numbers mixed up
gimme a moment

I fire my cannon at the Viggen, but the adrenaline pumping through my veins throws the last half the burst off because my hand is still shaking. I fire another missile before banking hard, towards the train.

Tracers fly over the canopy. RWR shows radar spike. I fire three R-77's at the Sabre.

"Mjolnir 1-2 fox 2, ripple," I say.

After the shots are away I jam the stick into my gut. The aircraft responds and I start getting tunnel vision.

The Viggen fails to evade the missile and gets hit. It pours on the speed and begins to leave the combat area.

First of all, Huit MMS are not radar-guided.
Thirdly, it drops flares and banks hard left to evade the missiles.
You are now running critically low on missiles.

The Sabre follows you closely, and you see the six missiles it just fired at you go shooting past your underside.

Enemy forces in the area:
1x Sb-37 Viggen
2x SI-32 Sabre

I turn around again and fire another missile at the Viggen, just to make sure that he doesn't come back into the operation area. "This is Mjolnir 1-4, requesting information on any available resupply vectors." I look back at the current engagement, but focus my attention on the train.

"Uh, paratrooper team, what's your status?"

What's an MMS. This is all throwing me off between fictional and non fictional ordnance, as well as realism and unrealism.

multiple missile system.

"I can support the paratroopers on the ground if any enemy armor or infantry elements show up. Just focus on the air so I don't get shot down!"

SHOOTGUNS WITH THE GUNSHOOT FOR THE SHOOTING OF THE GUNS

REFER TO THIS FOR ANY INFORMATION AT ALL

Real-life counterparts still exist, this just makes the stuff easier to deal with.

For future reference I would /prefer/ moving to this chart as the main reference however it's not necessary.

He drops his last flares and continues to leave.

Due to there being no other friendlies in the area aside from the paratroopers, there is no response.

"Uh, paratrooper team, what's your status?"
"Mjolnir, this is Thunder. We are securing the train. Enemy resistance is light, we should be ready to roll out of here in just a few minutes."

There is a google doc containing all the armaments currently involved in this. Hint: None of them are hardcore true-to-life brown townogues. As a rule, if you bust out some vague-ass serial number, I am always going to count it as a heat-seeking missile. Keep that in mind before you start complaining about how a ZRX-40,000 shouldn't be spoofed by flares or that a XK-7992 totally has enough range to hit that city on the other side of the planet or whatever.
Also new armaments weapons sheet because I'm not going to bother looking up what an R-77 or an ACS-191 or a SNP-DG-420 is so
Have fun with the fictional weapons

A bead of sweat falls down my temple as I realize the ineffectiveness of the cannon fire. The fighter stays persistently on Crux, seemingly paying no heed to the fact that I've been on his ass for a while now.

He's really asking for it.

I take a deep breath and try to focus as I bring the reticle dot directly over the exhaust port. Aim small, miss small. I ease the aircraft into position, going so far as using the trim hat on the stick. I ever so slowly squeeze the trigger...

"Paratroopers are almost done! Defeat those Sabres and we'll head back to base. I'll buy a beer for whoever has the most kills!"

The engine is hit and it belches out a cloud of black smoke. The enemy pilot pulls back hard on the stick, reaching an incredibly steep angle of attack and hemorrhaging speed, allowing you to shoot right under him. He then slams it back forward and hits the afterburner, ending up right on your tail.

I just am getting tossed up because I'm used to realism and we've switched back and forth quite a lot.

I'm left two HSM's, and the MiG's autocannon. The Sabre is still on me.

"Mjolnir 1-2 defending,"

The RWR buddy spike's, a friend is behind me. I kick the rudder and look behind. It's Casey.

"Casey, you remember the Thach weave?"
