Yeah what a friend!

What is with all these people talking about games using terms from the game?

I swear to god this post is more of a terminology clusterforget than Homestuck and/or Problem Sleuth, and those was MADE to be like that.
i'll dumb it down for you

in order to have a guy help you you need to be in normal form
in order to that, you gotta use a lil humanity and sit at a bonfire n turn to human

usin the humanity gives you health too. they can boost your chances at findin gear n stuff. you can use em to increase the amount of healin things you carry around

after you beat massive humanoid bull man with giant hammer thing you can go to a bridge with a huge ass red dragon thing on it

walk back from the bridge and you find a cool ass knight called solaire who gives you a thing that lets you help other dudes in game

go halfways across the bridge, walk down some stairs, go down more stairs, kick a thing, checkpoint, boom.

Im at the end but Im just trying to collect everything I missed.

Farming some chunks and such too.

EDIT: Also I was listening to some dark souls lore and pinwheels story makes me not want to kill him

Soft humanity (The ones in the top left counter) also VERY slightly increases your resistances.

So someone with 99 soft humanity will take less damage from everything than someone with the same exact stats and armor but with only 1 humanity.
actually, the humanity bonuses cap at 10 soft humanity.

I can probably explain it better.
There are two forms of humanity. First is the item, which you can find in your inventory. This is referred to as "hard humanity", because when you use it, you crush it in your hand. In the top left corner of your screen is a number. When you use a hard humanity, that number increases. That number shows how much "soft humanity" you have. When you die, you lose all of your soft humanity, although it is retrieved if you get to your bloodstain.
There is almost nothing you can do with humanity in its hard form. However, aside from increasing your soft humanity counter, it can also be used to heal. But, unless you've farmed a stuff ton of humanity, it's not optimal to use your humanity for healing unless you're desperate.
Soft humanity has many purposes. For one, it is what lets you turn human. When you die, you respawn in your hollowed form. If you look at yourself while you're hollowed, you'll see that you look like shriveled corpse. While you are hollowed, not only are some of your resistance stats decreased, but you also cannot be invaded by other players, but you also can't summon or invade other players. The only way to become human is to use a soft humanity at a bonfire. You can do this by sitting at a bonfire and selecting the "reverse hollowing" option. When you are human, you don't look like a damn zombie, and you have access to all of the online features. However, this also includes being invaded by other players. Also, you've probably noticed that, unlike all of the other bonfires in the game, the bonfire in Firelink Shrine gives you 10 estus flask uses (i hope you got the estus flask). There is actually another option you can select at bonfires that uses soft humanity. This option will increase the amount of estus uses that bonfire gives you to 10. There's also an item you can get later in the game that will allow you to increase the amount to 15 and 20.
I think that covers everything, except for the weird part of Slayer's post that had a short, disconnected guide for getting the white soapstone. However, I will go ahead and say that the white soapstone will give you the ability to be summoned by other players for co-op.

I was trying to get through the game as fast as possible on my friends account that he originally made to help me out

Anyways I was at Ornstein and Smough and I summoned Solaire. While waiting for Solaire to reach the fog gate I got invaded. As soon as the invader was next to me I went through the fog game. He messaged me saying "pusillanimous individual lol"

"oops lol"

I actually think that dark souls is a nice change of pace from the other easy as stuff games of today.

Dark Souls is my favorite game of all time.
I bought it like, 4 months ago, and play nothing but Dark Souls on my Xbox 360.
I kept playing it over and over again. Where I do some playthroughs for PvPing and some just for fun PvE action.

So by 4 months of playing, I am now able to finish the game within 3 hours (1 hour for farming and getting the stuff I need). Where I only die at like, Bed of Chaos and Gwyn 2-3 times.

With all my experience, I am able to say, that I would recommend it to anyone who seeks a challange really. It is hard for starters, yes. But when you really learn the way the game plays, things gets easier.

Because of 4 months of playing, I pretty know EXACTLY how the mobs will react, and where all the items are.

I'm not hating anyone, I was just surprised by the amount of unusual terms the game manages to use.

Yea I know how to beat everything except Bed of Chaos. Thats just a mystery to me. Gwyn is easy to parry so hes not a problem. Do you do the soul duplication glitch? Also I tried PVP and nop. Got insta killed the first guy I meet.

Oh, I see. That is true hahaha.

Sometimes, so I don't have to farm souls for hours when I make a PvP build. That is the only thing I use the dupe for.

Hahah, stuff happens

good news

I have kindled all possible bonfires (Except Anor Londo, 2nd Undead Asylum, and Daughter of chaos because dead)

Now just doing some chunk farming and upgrading some weapons. Anyone else think that augmenting weapons is worthless?

Also for NG + should I record everything with my game capture?

Augmenting as in using weapon buffs or as in using White and Red Titanite and stuff like that?

white and red titanite

weapon buffs like resin is awesome

white and red titanite

They use red and white titanite because they aren't building up the stats that the weapons scale with.

Magic users usually use the magic greatsword thingy but some decide to augment their stuff with Blue Titanite so it scales with INT instead of STR or DEX or whatever else the weapon usually scales with.

Miracle users don't really have stuff like the magic greatsword so they use white titanite to give weapons divine scaling. Also to kill the skeles in the catacombs permenantly.

People who want to focus on other stuff like END instead of a weapon stat like STR or DEX usually end up using red titanite or regular titanite to get more damage that what they would've gotten with a regular fully upgraded weapon.
