this is gonna take a while to watch but forget yes

yeah of course everyone did exactly what arin knew they would do

"DONT SAY MY CHILDHOOD GAME WASNT A FLAWLESS MASTERPIECE HOW DARE U ITS AN EXCEPTION BECAUSE IT WAS MADE A WHILE AGO SO THEREFORE NO STANDARDS OF QUALITY CAN APPLY TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well since OOT was the first 3D zelda game and one of the first 3D games of all time, the standards should be lower.

"In the first Zelda you SEE that stuff. In Link to the Past you SEE that stuff. In Ocarina of Time, OOOOOPS"
lmao

"In ocarina, you have infinity erections"

Well since OOT was the first 3D zelda game and one of the first 3D games of all time, the standards should be lower.
the graphics standards should be lower, not how good the game is

the graphics standards should be lower, not how good the game is
except it was one of the pioneers of 3d open world gaming

not to mention the very first 3d zelda

you have to give it some leeway as to how good it is relative to modern open world games

oh my god this is so loving perfect

I love you egoraptor

absolutely not

low standards are the bane of improvement

The cost of making a game is high enough that publishers are weary about taking chances exploring new ideas, and a lot of developers are more out of touch with gamers these days.

Ocarina of time was among the first games to really adopt the whole 3D action adventure genre, clunky gameplay mechanics are a little more forgivable since at the time, there wasn't a whole lot of experience to go off of.

The point is that as time would progress, the developers would expand on ideas and improve aspects of the series that fell short in the last title. This is why Majora's Mask was a way more fleshed out game compared to Ocarina of Time.

-forget wrong thread-

lmfao

They didn't even build upon what they had learned with Ocarina of Time. He had no praises for games after OoT besides the 3DS one.

i didn't really agree with everything he said but gosh dang he knows how to make a nice funny on the internet

brought up some fair points obviously though

They didn't even build upon what they had learned with Ocarina of Time.

They sure as heck did, a lot of the installments in the legend of zelda series made after ocarina of time were pretty great.

That's because the point of the video was comparing ocarina of time to a link to the past. The only other games that were brought up were brought up to reinforce a point.
