Author Topic: ██ Use encryption? NSA says you might be a terrorist! Warrantless searches! ██  (Read 10152 times)

I'm one of the most critical people of all conspiracy theories, political or otherwise, but these NSA leaks aren't fake.

This is all extremely real and harmful to people's privacy worldwide.
I'm not denying its real, but what has the nsa done to people besides collect information? I really honestly want to know

We should not mind until the agency uses the wiretapped information to mass remove people under an unreasonable and extreme criteria.

I don't get why you took my comment on UKIP and used it to make a comment about the NSA :l

no I don't.

no I don't.
i think the biggest issue people are concerned about is more of a "what if" scenario
since we dont know what they're doing with the information besides collecting it in mass storage facilities people are more worried about what they COULD be doing

it is perfectly reasonable to arrest some guy who is sending encrypted bombmaking instructions.
It is. The problem is that it is encrypted, which means anyone who uses encrypted communications could be sending bombmaking instructions. Thus, the innocent non-bombmaking public who uses encryption is angry at the NSA for flagging them.

i use encryption on my teamspeak am i terrorist

Why should the public ever need to encrypt information and send it to someone else?

Am I the only one Pro NSA?
then again my political views are a bit on the well...bad side of history.
and my political goals also include things that most people might refer to as disturbing.

Oh please, I could describe myself as a fascist as well.
Authoritarian or not such measures aren't the hallmark of an effective and benevolent system.

Security.

Believe it or not, people can and do intercept packets. This is why passwords are encrypted.

Come to think of it, is the NSA also watching everyone who logs into anything? Because like 99% of login systems are encrypted.
