Marx's teachings were about creating a stateless society. However every communist and socialist forgets that part when they get to power.
Capitalism is ideal for humans because it's a survival of the fittest system. It's an evolutionary trait to be selfish for our own good, so I think capitalism is the only system that will work in this society. Places like North Korea and Cuba are basically failed states because they tried to implement a utopian system that goes against human nature.
The reason why North Korea is a stuff hole is because the nation is governed like a monarchy. Kim Jong eats like a fat king while his people starve. They depended on the USSR for everything. Now all their money goes toward feeding kim jong's fat ass and funding it's aging military.
Socialism vs Communism:
Communism: basically the government controls all schools, factories, the military, the media, every thing is owned by the government. It's like your hive mind worker ant societies. Everyone works to survive, in turn all receive equal treatment. It's a pretty stuffty place to live. Snowflake's, intellectuals, greedy, and selfish would hate living there as the average citizen.
Socialism: can be democratic, government provides services like education, healthcare, running water, telephone, insurance, etc at the cost of having higher taxes to support all these things. Some private industries continue to exist.
In the case of the USSR, many scientists and doctors ended defecting to the west for the money. To them, they spent many years going through education to get where they are, yet they are only getting paid the same wages as a high school drop out who is a janitor.
Looks great on paper, never works on it in real life.
Tribal societies:
Basically everyone had to work to survive. The tribes at the time were just large families. Even today we value ourselves and families more than everyone else.
