Oh no I better feel bad and kill myself now OH NOOOOO!!!!!!!
you should

you should
Yes but then I will drift into blackness and sleep forever oh NOOOOOOOOO!!!111

My parents raised me saying I could choose whatever religion I wanted, lol. I consider myself agnostic for now

Why are you guys acting like being an atheist is such a controversial thing and you deserve attention for it
Actually this, too, though I believe this extends to everyone.  Identity isn't fully what defines you; it's how you evaluate yourself and how you choose to recreate yourself that matters.

On a side note,

While indeed the Dalai Lama (XIV) is religious, I found it very interesting to read some of his works.  Outside of his religious views, he is very intellectual as well.  I believe more strongly in eastern philosophy, though I strongly agree with some of the sayings of the Stoics and Heraclitus.

I bet you've never been on /r/atheism.

"Atheist religion"

............................. ............................. ..

Pull the divorce card. Cause, you know. "Devorce is a sin" or whatever.

Then ask if that's just a faze.

Yes, Buddhism is a religion that has no diety
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_in_Buddhism
"Gautama Buddha rejected the existence of a creator deity,[1][2] refused to endorse many views on creation[3] and stated that questions on the origin of the world are not ultimately useful for ending suffering.[4][5]"

Yes, Buddhism is a religion that has no diety

And thats Buddhism.

Atheism is literally the rejection of all religion, aka: believing in nothing.
Calling Atheism a religion is redundant.

I'm aware.
Mikoyan said what he said in response to:
Yeah except Dalai Lama believes in buddhism which is an atheist religion

(Also "redundant" isn't the word you're looking for in this context. Perhaps "contradictory"?)

You missed my point entirely.  The rest of the paragraph talked about philosophy.  The context was philosophy, not at all atheism vs theism.  Also why I said "On a side note"

But seriously, if you guys are interested in philosophy, the Dalai Lama's works are good reads.

this would be antagonizing his mother for no reason. Also if his mother had good reasons for the divorce (e.g. his father was unfaithful, abusive, a drunk, or he decided for the divorce, not his mother) then it would backfire.
