at what point does a fancharacter become an original character, i wonder?
is there some kind of originality scale that we can refer to which marks something as "original enough" for some unknown standards?

and I honestly think that would be never considering the fact that people would most likely hold the fact it was a character heavily based something over your head no matter what changes you make.
cause honestly Thats what I feel like would happen even if I were to make changes, more reasons some people who hate me have to fling stuff at me :|
also I use OC as a broad term for any character that is technically mine, as in I was the one who selected the set of clothing in the game and drew/had it drawn and gave them a backstory, a personality and some love.
the only characters I would consider actual "ocs" would be aris and maybe flat, since aris is actually entirely originally design except for the circlet which I took from starbound.
