I got a relatively fancy mouse for its additional buttons and DPI settings, but they're not really used for gaming. Buttons are typically media controls, DPI settings are for graphics and modeling work. It was roughly the price of a normal one.
Keyboard, however, I see no reason to get a fancy stupid one. Like, it glows? Congrats, your keyboard is obnoxious.
You have obviously never typed on a mechanical keyboard.
