Author Topic: I made a Happy Wheels pogo challenge course  (Read 1893 times)

I got unexplainable cravings to play Happy Wheels two weeks ago and disappointed by the lack of good quality levels (in general but especially pogo challenges) I decided to make my own. I've been working on this level for two weeks few hours a day every other day or so. It has gone through two major mechanics changes (each of which knocked off a difficulty point in my ratings) and one major design change. I've fine tuned, tested, and polished it to what I consider to be high quality. No "jump ov3r tis walls or ur jbiebs l0l noob RATE 5 IF YOU LIVE OR DIE" here. None of that stuff.

I came up with 12 major challenges and 3 minor challenges with a 4 left over that I couldn't fit in.

It is a difficult level. It used to a lot harder though. Masochist hard. Instakill traps, one chance at the challenges and so forth. I eventually reduced the traps to a fraction of their original amount because it loving sucks having to start over. In the final revision I removed them entirely including two challenges that were instakill trap based. Now your only enemy is the frailty of your own body. I would love to add checkpoints but sadly Happy Wheels does not have them. I'm sorry but your legs are weak and you need to finish the course.

It was supposed to have a Portal-esque laboratory visual style but it was work enough to create the challenges so I decided to keep a simplistic visual style.

I'd like it if you gave it a try and told me what you think about it. I actually put effort into this level. Each challenge is possible to complete without taking any damage. There are 7 coins to collect and 2 pogostick tokens.

I remember I tried to make a pogo challenge course. My save disappeared so I quit. I will try this

> first challenge

forget this I quit

> first challenge

I'm planning on making a video of how to beat it. You need to combine rejump and walljump which is an essential skill in this course. Jump and jump again a bit after you hit the ground to jump even higher into the air. Then turn left and jump off the wall. You don't even need a full jump for the first one, a third or so combined with a full one will be enough to clear the mine. As for the coin simply jump tilting slightly to the left and then jump off the wall to land back on the ledge.

Yeah your map has made me feel like stuff. I give it 5/5 for difficulty

Props for making a unique level.
I swear, we need more actually challenging pogo stick maps and not those typical "challenges" of jumping across some poles sticking out of the ground.

I cant even get past jump one

I cant even get past jump one
You need jump, then jump again quickly after you land to jump even higher than before.

I made a map that shows the individual challenges.

I'm planning on recording a YouTube video that cuts all the fails so you don't have to watch me suck for 30 minutes.

I'd love to see that. I suck too hard to get past level 3

I put a replay there, its not a competiting thing but it seemed so hilarious that it was worth posting.

EDIT: I got to level 2 again and lost my legs at the step.  Managed to get over lvl 3 without legs.
