The Hlaohamarr Barley War
The Hlaohamarr Tribe is undergoing a massive civil war, on a scale not seen since the civil disturbance in 710 BC. With a failing feudal system, and an increasing reliance on the coastal villages for some trade and most of the food production, the Southern Jarls have formed a coalition to rebel against the old High King and Jarls of the North.

The dark blue denoted on this map of the territory represents areas firmly held by the Hlaoren (Jarls of the North) while the regions in tan are those of the Hlaorikdom (Southern Jarls). The areas in the lighter blue are contested greatly and/or are controlled by individual Jarls or other factions.
Following victory after victory, the Hloarikdom has pretty much won the civil war, successfully rebelling against the Hloaren. They've taken the capitol, and own outright much of the land. What opposition is left has been scrambled and weakened, and will probably either assimilate or flee into the mountains.
Because of their distaste of the feudal system previously in place, the Hloarikdom will most likely convert Hloamarr into a semi-monarchistic democracy. Details will unravel in the future as the Southern Jarls convene in the great halls to elect a temporary council.
Expect a national anthem, new flag, and an update to the nation post whenever I feel like it/when SWAT finishes his magic.
