Ormica and Espul are jerks, and are being dishonorable - they were compensated duly for their participation. Trade increases with other places like Calzone, Plexia, Espovon, Atensia, Varansk and Swat's coastal puppet. Still awaiting a response to diplomatic mission to Erinaum via the puppet.
Trade between Aurians and Avalonians increases in Calzone now that the Britons aren't at war with Avalonia and the perceived risk of foreign interference is diminished.
Since the Britonic States are now a part of Avalonia, the treasuries are merged to aid in replenishing the coffers. A census is taken revealing that the Britonic States have around 110,000 residents including around 10,000 living and active military personnel. Avalonian instructors are sent to train Britonic military leaders and bring the Britonic military into harmony with Avalonia's own system.
Avalonia starts to look at its budget to try to shave off some unnecessary expenditures like lavish palaces and things like that, at least for the time being. The Council makes special effort to ensure that it's obvious that they themselves are making sacrifices, in order that the people may bear their own sacrifices with stoicism.
Avalonia's taxation policy is reworked to be more profitable and fall across a wider array of things (basically there are tariffs, a small land tax, and a small production tax where before there were only tariffs). The new taxation rests more heavily on Avalonians, as the Britons had production and land taxes at higher rates than the new ones. Avalonians protest, but the taxes add little to their individual burdens, so they more or less get over it fairly quickly. The cumulative revenue, however, of the taxes should be enough to put Avalonia in the black especially given that there won't be any more large war expenses for the time being.
