We also begin working on mining iron.

Erste begins working on even better ships.
We also begin working on mining coal for steel (if that's okay, i mean idk if this has to be close to history tech-wise but y'know)
That's kinda early for steel. You have to remember that people discovered this stuff by literally throwing random kinds of rocks into a furnace- iron production as a whole really begins around 700BC and miniscule steel production begins around 300BC.

Oh okay
I'll change that to iron then

Swords research is done. Now we have better bronze swords and basic iron swords. The crafting of much better iron weopons and armor is in developement.

Better ships are being worked on in order to better trade and the protection of the nation.

Galaumian miners begin to experiment with new metals.
(Iron Weaponry & Armor Research: 1%)

Heavy and Light Horse Armor finished. Kanisteieir Divisions begin to be outfitted with this armor. Light Armor is given the name Lecheüsuna, and Heavy Armor is given the name Iewerüstuna. Iewerüstuna is given to Tawühr Divisions, as  Lecheüsuna is given to Sehütz & Reasci Divisions. Sehütz Divisions are becoming better, as they are given improved composite bows. They can now fire from further away, and with more power.

wow surrounding the peaceful nations with npc's so they have to conquer them, and leaving no npcs around the nations which do have army

mikoyan you glorious bastard

A meeting between the advisors and the queen is organized. The point of the discussion is the two surrounding 'nations', which have refused to unite under our flag, and instead chose independence. Fortunately, this decision was poor for them, as Varansk has to moderate and legalize all trade between them - all transports pass through our country, and all ships, by our coasts.

A type of cloth with somewhat higher tensile strenght than the one currently used for sails is being researched. This should allow us to make ships that are slighly bigger, allowing more cargo, as well as reaching a bit further out from the simple coasts that we now sail.

No just makes it harder to get to.
No, it also makes it more valuable.  Modern example:  When oil from the Middle East is cut off from America, it costs more.  When the Spanish and Portuguese brought copious amounts of gold from the Americas, it became more common, and drastically lost its value.  With gold in little supply and much demand, it has wonderful value.

What happened to my land expansion?
Still don't have that blasted peninsula.
I've been overwhelmed with the last edits, work, and family life so I haven't had time to take every detail into account.  If an NPC nation is blocking your pre-stated growth, get Mikoyan's approval before I make changes.

Erinaum begins researching better methods for making iron, and begins looking for more plentiful resources.

Main road networks are finished.  External roads are also created.  Erinaum works with Tsekēnaum to create a road that goes around Bēlänese territory.

In the interest of peace and furthering trade ties Lord Veleos embarks on a journey to Romicia's capitol Tiolo. Selected from the pool of representatives, two will accompany Veleos on the journey: Alexander from Villecchia, and  Deucalion from Falerone.

A short two day boat ride across the lake brought them to the high palisades of Tiolo. They were greeted by what the locals call the "Parade of spears", Caprican and Romician banners lead the way to the great hall. There was a grand feast and then negotiations began.

Caprica wants to officially open the borders, and allow trade through them. Caprica also offers protection in times of war, but only if Romicia does the same.

In other news the road project is nearing completion. More are being planed to allow ease of acsess to Romician trade hubs.
Blacksmiths are experimenting different ways to layer armor. Not much progress has been made however.

Approvel has been given to settlers to expand east.

My internet is out so I had to type this all on my phone ;-;

A message is sent to Agoria: Join us peacefully and we guarantee your citizens equal status to ours, represented in the advisors. Join us by force, and the same cannot be guaranteed. We do not want to come to war, but expansion is necessary for prosperity. Join us, and we will thrive.

Several ships are equippped with the new sails material. It proves to be rather sturdy, able to resist heavier winds.

The negotiations end quickly, and both parties leave happy, open borders, and open trade. Everyone leaves with the image of a bright future ahead.

You're not supposed to control NPC nations.

I've been overwhelmed with the last edits, work, and family life so I haven't had time to take every detail into account.

I can take mapping off your hands if you and Mikoyan approve

You're not supposed to control NPC nations.
Yeah, my bad.

What happened to my land expansion?

My colonies on the surounding areas was also replaced by NPC land. The land westward wad also not included.
You didn't even have land expansion. You took some to the west which was added and you never had colonies. You just explored. Colonization doesn't even exist. Also, stop correcting everyone. You're acting like a bitch that's afraid he's going to lose the game if someone makes a mistake.
In areas with large Nomad populations, the Nomads are contacted. They are given two choices. Join Galaumia, or face the mighty Kanisteieir.
Most of them do not wish to be ruled by the galaumians.

Romicia accepts open borders and trade with Caprica

Agoria does not wish to merge with Varansk. They do wish for peace, however.
Still don't have that blasted peninsula.
Can you send me a picture circling what you're talking about? I'll add it when I get home.

Touché, SWAT.

Thanks for the flags jummrade

Tom, I'll add you when I get home. Put where you want to
Be on the map.

2,000 BC Iron Smelting says wikipedia, trust it or no.

Avalonian research on iron production and mongering continues.  Resources are drained from that slightly to fund research into better ships and bronze horse armor, nothing too heavy, just some basic stuff to protect the things better.
