Avalonian trading ships reach the tip of the <, discovering that the world does not, in fact, continue along that coastline forever. Beans are brought back from this region.
Avalonian roads reach almost total completion. One of the largest roads leads from Nazgar to the iron town on the peninsula, and another leads to the largest town on the Ormican border.
As members of the Avalonian Union begin to show signs of age and the grim shadow of death begins to circle one, the need for new appointments becomes clear. Two members retire to their private lives, A member of one of Avalonia's oldest families, and an outstanding citizen, and are replaced by internal appointment (the retirees votes included in the process) with two younger, qualified individuals. The Council begins to consider other potential future members.
Goods brought back to Avalonia now include books and scrolls, mostly on factual matters such as medicine, mathematics, engineering, chemistry, and history, but also on matters such as theology, stories, and the journals of leaders and ship captains. These books are copied and stored in Nazgar's library; the original books are kept in a very dry, very heavily guarded underground vault along with other treasures of the Avalonian government.
