We actually mentioned that in the steam chat me and grunter had. We said they were dying of first when they met the War Camp I have, which I had mentioned is far east of my borders, outside of them, actually.
It still doesn't make any sense about the traveling.

We'll see what Miko does with it.

It was 30 years, and sails are not unheard of. A combination of alternating oarsmen and sails could easily get near my continent, and then, using the ways Grunter described, get them to Galaumia/Erinaum.

Then there is a problem of food running out (which would have most definitely happened), possible storms, jagged rocks in a certain spot, rough waters, etc.

Then you say they came BACK.

Then there is a problem of food running out (which would have most definitely happened)They'd cannibalize the old, though I already stated in the post that it was becoming a very significant problem for them., possible stormsHappened, if you'd have cared to read., jagged rocks in a certain spotWhy do you think the ship crashed?, rough watersCheck back to the storm part., etc.

Then you say they came BACK. Yeah, they did.

Seriously everything you've said here was already mentioned in the loving post lol

Rough weather sinks many of the ships. Some, however, make it along the island chain and make contact with Albiton. Atenisia and Aspidis are soon-after found. Trade is dicussed with each.

With hardship, and no help from Agoria, the Southern Coastal Defense Line is complete. But Varansk isn't mad. Varansk forgives. Varansk kill Agoria.

Grunter, you ships crashed, how the hell do you get back?

Accept of trade.

Aspidis agrees to a sea-based trade route, and is willing to trade weapons, oils, hides, and other pleasantries.

You do realize we're on one big continent, right? That's a stupid loving question. Returning on foot and heading to Ibene where they can easily get a ride over to Aspidis isn't impossible.

Supply outposts are set up about the small islands. Not colonies, mind you - neutral outposts, designed to give travelers supplies  with the exception of Varansk, in exchange for money  . They consist of tiny settlements of peaceful people, farmers, to help made trade lighter.

Ateni, Aspian and Varansk trade ships are soon to be seen sailing along between the islands. The finders of the three nations are grossly rewarded.

brb adding to my trade partners list

SWAT One said the area was compromised of hills n' dessert or something.

Atenisian ships make contact with Aspian ships on one of the outposts, hoping to become trade partners. A land claim is made on one of the islands and a larger port is planned to rake in the $$$.

With knowledge of Galaumia and Aspidis, messengers are sent out, arriving at Galaumia in 7 years, and the messenger that tried to reach Aspidis was eaten by cannibals.

SWAT One said the area was compromised of hills n' dessert or something.
The area between Galaumia and Erinaum, yes.  The area between wherever and Erinaum is likely highlands or forests and stuff.

Erinaum finishes its designs for the crossbow.  The designs are a little primitive, but nonetheless work.  Warriors are taught how to use them, and a small group of 30 men are sent to the front to test it.

A simple matter of moving along the mountain-side and brokering deals with the nearby tribes for passage and information on the easiest accesses that allow them to get to the general area in which they know Aspidis is based. And unless the land is composed of a strawberry icecream that's the wrong desert.

We accept that stuff

Atenisia cheerfully trades stuff'n'stuff for moar knowledge stuff.

A letter is sent back with the messenger. It contains two words, written in blood. Saailitä Joua.
