The Erinamese messenger agrees to this trade, and gives the Centurian the golden crest of the Ivēxür to give to the Emperor.  He asks that the linguists be allowed to come to Erinaum for a few years to learn of the language of Erinaum, share the language of Aspidis, and visit The Vålderesk School.  Any other scholars are welcomed as well.  Erinaum also provides the Centurion with a map of the route he took, indicating notes and illustrations of objects and tribes found on the way that helped to guide the messenger, to help start on the trade route.  It is incomplete, but when the scholars and linguists return, will be detailed and fully translated.

Yes.  Please join.  :o

Take Gojira's old land if you like, since he is leaving the RP.

Also Erinaum begins a seige on Bētanca.  Because of its close quarters capability, crossbow units will be sent into the city with a few swordsmen or spearmen to attempt to eradicate the garrisoned.  This offensive will take place in a month after the seige begins.  Supplies are moved up to the seige point.

I didn't realize I was unconsciously pressuring you at this point.  No, join your friend and brother in a league of Germanic-Norse nations that will conquer all defend each other.

Slavery in Avalonia has never been very big (self interest is widely acknowledged).  The practice just came under scrutiny from the Order and was finally openly accused of dishonor.  It hasn't ended suddenly either, it's just been dealt a wound which will bleed it to death within a couple of generations.

The High Priest of Avalonia does have some influence, yes, but within the government not any more than any other member of the Council.  His sway, however, is more than many of the others as it is religious and as both the Avalonian messenger to the Gods and a member of the Council (only religious one there, too) he has to be one of the most honorable people in the nation giving him great sway socially.  That's not to say he's the most powerful or honorable one on the Council, it just means he's not the least important one either (Upper middle class of the Council).

Avalonian merchants hear tell of the existence of a land far off, filled with exotic goods and open markets and ask to tag along with an Aspidi trade fleet.

The Centurion nods in agreement with the messenger, sending off numerous linguists to head off to Erinaum with the messenger to learn, teach, and experience the wonders of Erinaum, as well as a dozen other scholars that volunteered. The centurion also takes the map with graciousness, taking it and declaring that it will be used as a trade route, until better paths can be found.

Another exploration boom is given - if they won't trade us their maps, we'll have to find out who they're trading with ourselves!

A small group of ships is sent past Atenisia and stuff to down south, to see who they find.

jesus hell why do all your countries start with A

The messenger leaves with his party, stops in town to buy some supplies for the trip, and departs with an extra copy of the map.

The party arrives four years later, the returning messenger arriving back in honor.  The people that are brought with him are strange– people with lighter skin and wide eyes, some brown and some blue.  Their hair varies greatly in color and shape.  Some people begin to wonder if they are spirits, but the messenger assures everyone that they are humans just like us, but they are as an animal breeder might compare, a different "breed" of human.

They are all taught Erinamese and learn to speak it fluently.  They are then tasked with teaching some scholars who will travel to Aspidis to learn their language and customs.  The Aspians then learn about Erinamese culture, political events, the Zïtdist religion, etc., before being sent back to Aspidis.

The Ivēxür holds great interest in the trade route, and immediately sends out "cartographers" to map out the region.

We want to be first in the phone book.

Avalonian construction projects throughout its lands continue, including roads, fortifications, housing, and storehouses, as well as upgrades and renovations to existing structures, including heightening Nazgar's walls and adding yet another to enclose and protect the people living there.

If I overstep my bounds as a non-moderator in the next paragraph, I can accept that this is void.
A set of three Avalonian ships bearing glasswork and hugging the coastline sees sees the landmark signifying the border of Atensia, where the promise of profit awaits.  The crews are happy, and are given some extra rations that night.  The moon has waned to a thin stripe, and little light guides the way.  Suddenly, the ocean drops from beneath them.  Terrified, the men jump ship into the receding water, now only ankle deep, and awestruck they run toward shore.  Before they can travel far at all, the ocean chases them - a giant wave comes to entomb them in the ocean forever.
TL;DR - Big earthquake and tsunami at Atensia's southern border.  Avalonia lost some pricey ships.

Is that military excursion to the North of mine ever going to be resolved?  For the sake of argument I'm going to just say that if they won they carried their dead back in pine boxes and if they lost they fled home; I don't want to have these ghosts in limbo outside my borders.

Your story is fine, all except for seeing a border.  A border isn't material.

Pm Miko or me the quote(s) necessary, and we'll get to it.

I didn't say they saw the border.  I said they saw a landmark that's at (or at least fairly close to) the border.

Derp.  Just woke up then and it was too early.  Bleh.

Plethora you just placed a tsunami and a tsunami-creating earthquake right near my bloody capital second-most popular trading port.

I do not of agree with this.
