A provisional topic is in CivRP right now. If the polls pass in favor of staying here, then the provisional topic will be removed and a topic will be made here.

why would you use a separate forum exactly

its a bit more convenient to keep it here

if this topic goes to civrp i may quit
Why the hate?  :'(

It's convenient, but only to BLF members– those who pay for memberships.  I'm opening the doors to all new players for free.  I want to see all kinds of new people join and come to enjoy nation RPs.  Having to pay up to $10 is something I see as a too much to ask.

Either way, I'm waiting for the polls to fill out more.

Avalonian engineers make a solid stride in 'artillery' weaponry by creating a ballista-like device which is smaller and more of an anti-personnel weapon than anti-fortification.  It has some flaws and kinks, but a few solid prototypes show great potential, and a completed version should be ready soon.

Avalonian forces in Plexia continue to land.  The main army has reached the capitol and along the way destroyed a small-ish force of Bequelans engaged in razing a town.  More Avalonians continue to land at the beachhead which is now quite well fortified, and scouts and Plexians are giving a very complete description of the lay of the land and positions of population centers and enemy forces.  So far, greatly superior Avalonian cavalry and archery have dominated (Pretty sure we have the best cavalry in the world right now).

Work on Nazgar's bettered and expanded fortifications is completed, and the subterranean vaults and passages near completion.

After a long freeze in relations with Ormica and Espul following their dishonor after the War of the Britonic States, ambassadors are sent to both countries bearing gifts of steel helms, fine horses, and silver platters.  It is hoped that this new generation will be bore honorable than their predecessors and that both trade and political interaction will be more open and free henceforth.

The bastion slowly builds up, everyone in Argent begins to marvel at the development of mighty fortress.

Expansion continues.

The Aurian military has grown to 10,000 able bodied men.

Northern sea explorers discover Hlaohamarr.

A message is sent to the barbarian nation to the west. "Assimilate or die."

Meanwhile the spies hidden inside of the barbarian nation for many years prepare to rise up, having weakened the barbarians government and militaristic holds for many decades. They will strike from within if the barbarians deny. Meanwhile, Kanisteieir divisons and Nieufamu divisions prepare to ride, as Galaumian engineers begin thinking of weapon designs to attack forts.

Espovon discovers the basic mechanics and physics of rock arches, Engineers and architects are looking for ways to apply this.

Erinamese forces push into Plexia and arrive at the capitol fighting off the last of the Bequelans.  The Generals arrive and greet the Avalonians with a bow.  Plans are to be drafted for the invasion of the Bequelans.

Erinamese engineers traveling with the invasion crew notice the Avalonian Ballista, and compare it with the ballista that they were trying to build, and say "This is much better."  When they arrive home, they will perfect its design.

You wouldn't have seen too much of the ballistae as the Avalonian army didn't carry those things around (mainly because it correctly didn't anticipate any sieges and it's strength lies at least in part in speed, which ballistae would hamper).  They're on the ships, but for the most part the ships landed or protected the beachhead, only limited interaction with Erinamese forces on that front.

Avalonian forces celebrate the victory in Plexia and all that.  The Erinamese generals are greeted with due honor and respect, and planning for the invasion commences.

The Chief issues a statement on the Barbaric nation to the west.

"You dare challenge Galaumian minds on Galaumian soil? Your hearts shall be broken, along with your bodies. Let your farmers toil their fields with your blood. This barbaric nation will not stand, nonetheless one that challenges Gaulamia. We will war them, in the highlands, in the desert, or in both. They will not survive."

[Spies are sent into the Barbaric nation* to increase civil unrest and prepare them for a Galaumian invasion.]

*- Could I get a name for this barbaric nation?
here ya go brah

Doesn't seem like "civil unrest" coincides too much with "covert operations".  But oh well, fine with me.

Well I mean you planted the spies ≈240 years ago for one.

Two, it seems like troublemakers would be sniffed out and brought to justice, rather than be sleeper agents.  I mean a sleeper agency over a long time would make more sense than a rowdy bunch causing mayhem for a quarter of a millennium.
