It's sort of like Dark Souls in that there are only vague suggestions of the story and then they leave it to the insane ass fanbase to make the rest up.

Just because people want fnaf 4 doesn't mean fnaf 4 is coming
If the game ends on a cliffhanger it's likely to keep the story open-ended.

By the time fnaf 4 gets released if it gets released people will be hyped for fnaf 5
