You can do a lot with space not used for supporting life, requiring little to no breaks with the machinery, and having machines run around the clock.  Not to mention, machinery that would be normally be considered dangerous with people around, such as a centrifugal forge or furnace, would be possible, and used for purifying metals much faster.

Besides I forgot to post that whales 003 and 004 were made earlier, so I compensated for time.
