Just think how annoying it is having to be the responsible figure in this union. :(
who raped and force controlled all of them at some points :(

If Scotland votes No, the rest of the UK should have a referendum on whether or not we want Scotland in the Union.

oh god yes

most of the welfare is paid to scotland, but they only contribute a bit in taxes

Average turnout of voters is around 80-90% for most areas that have released such information.

Compare that to the average of 25-35% turnout across the entire UK for General Elections and MEP Elections.
It would seem that quite a lot of Scots who have never taken an interest in deciding how their country is run are now happy to give judgment on how well it is, and whether it should continue to be part of the union.

Yet plenty of politically active Scots living in England, Wales and N.Ireland don't get a vote, and neither do the rest of the UK, despite it affecting all of us.

Scottish Rebellion 2: Electric Boogaloo /s

hey that rhymes

why would the rest of the UK get to vote if the scots want to leave

why would the rest of the UK get to vote if the scots want to leave
Because Scotland is all of ours.

The only thing that defines whether you could vote in this referendum was if you were living in Scotland or not at the time.
It's not a thing for the Scottish, otherwise all the Scots would get a vote.

And from a country that benefits so much from being part of the UK it's a very selfish thing wanting this referendum.
Scotland is hardly oppressed. It gets so many unique benefits that the other members of the UK don't get.
One of it's biggest arguments is that it doesn't get represented enough by Parliament, because Scotland mostly voted Labour and we have a Tory/LibDem Government.
Yet that is the case for every single Labour voter in the UK, not just Scotland. It's a whole part of the democracy.

There was a referendum several years ago now to vote on whether we should change to a new system of voting for MPs, and if Scotland was unhappy with the way our system represents them, then they should have voted for that (which hardly anyone in the UK did).
Not start the argument that they want to leave, just because they can't wait the 4 years that everyone else has to for a General Election.
Government's last 4-5 years. Independence would last forever.

It sucks that I have to share my island with two other nations.
It sucks that I have to protect some Island nation that calls you fat and stupid all the time.

I had no idea you were protecting us.
You certainly helped out in the 70's-2000s, when the IRA were setting off bombs across the UK and killing police men in N.Ireland.

Scotland's economy will most likely crumble stuffless and it will cry to the EU and Britain because they "made a mistake" if they seperate.

Considering most teenagers and their parents probably do not save enough money for college, because Scotland forgets around and gives everyone free healthcare and college (which they won't have if they seperate), not-so-much people in Scotland won't be able to go to college.
Also, healthcare would be an issue.
And the fact that they hardly have an industry to make enough money.

Scotland has seats in the British parliament, while the British parliament doesn't have seats in Scotland's parliament. I don't know why they keep whining about "lol we want to be alone :(". Good loving riddance, because from my perspective, most people in Britian doesn't give a wide-as-forget-stuff about Scotland because they were pain in the ass for the 300 years they have been in the Union.

I must've missed it or it's still going

who one the poll?

Average turnout of voters is around 8-90% for most areas that have released such information.

Thats a pretty big gap to have an average on

"You certianly helped us when we couldn't defend our stuff from locals!"

gg making yourself look even more like a weak stuffty government.
