Random Events No. 16
Last one was actually 15, my bad.
Lotavik: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Ezbátu: Pirates preying on vessels of various nationalities based in the islands above Varakia are ousted by Ezbatan naval forces and have reportedly entered into the paid service of Orshkal which is now using hem to strengthen its blockade on Molenia and enforce its own agendas. Ezbatu takes control of these now abandoned islands and they become a part of Varakia. (MIL: 80%)
Atenisia: A large and powerful nation to Atensia's West begins to take notice with some dismay at Atensia's invasion of lands that once paid it tribute. An emissary is sent to the capitol of Atensia, but being a pagan is treated poorly. The nation blockades all traffic along the Ateni-Caprican Trade Route. This NPC's post will be below and appear in the next map update, which is soon to come, maybe even double post soon. (NPC: 30%)
Avalonia: With things continuing to go fairly smoothly for Avalonia, the population experiences slightly above average growth and shows signs of political and social stability. (POP: 60%)
Galaumia: The leader of the Conservative faction is learned to be in contact with a group of radical and violent monarchists connected with the AEIU. His party loses both membership and standing in Galaumia and fragments into two groups: the Old Conservative Party - which is exactly what the party has been, and the New Conservative Party - a notably more moderate group calling for something akin to a constitutional monarchy where the nobles have the power. The man has fled to Irajinad where he reportedly committed Self Delete. (POL: 90%)
Caprica: With the war to the North still raging, the Caprican economy has suffered from relative isolation from Zesisoter, recent isolation from the Ateni, and little coming from Auria. With the economy stagnant, many revert to subsistence farming, and bandits roam the highways almost unopposed. (ECN: 20%)
Hlaohamarr: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Auria: What goods came from Caprica to stimulate the economy come to a halt, and only the little that comes from South Calzone and Sordelands sustains the country. Many people, both rich and poor, are suffering economically as a result, and robberies, extortion, and kidnappings for ransom money are growing ever more common. (ECN: 10%)
Espovon: With Espovon's recent economic importance to both Atensia and Avalonia, people in Espovon have more capital to do business with, and the economy is able to improve slightly. (ECN: 60%)
Rēsugurētā: Literally all of Rēsugurētā's surrounding fiefdoms swear to uphold the Shogun's power, and the ones that he had traveled through in his exile send people to get him back into power. Rēsugurētā's civil war takes a turn in the Shogun's favor, and defeat, at this point seems extremely unlikely. (NPC: 100%)
Ru'sh Naal: Longevity in Ru'sh Naal is found to be well above that in any of its neighbors, and people tend to be healthier in these longer lives than people in neighboring nations. Many ascribe this to the local diet. Immigration increases. (POP: 80%)
Orshkal's people, loyal to their King whose rule has brought them prosperity and prominence, cast stones at the people of Ru'sh Naal. Some, of course, would have it the other way around, but those that speak out are stoned as well, and those that don't leave Orshkal. Ru'sh Naal's armies in Orshkal are captured after a brief struggle with overwhelmingly greater forces, and the men are thrown into the ocean, chained to heavy rocks. Orshkal's King issues a proclamation that if Ru'sh Naal should dare to attempt to depose him again, he will not turn back his hand from wiping out the entire nation.
