uhm no!

we good guy people

we try to fix our bad k :)

Port is allowed to be refuge for free, but all of the services are taxed there under like, sales tax or something.

Not a money oppurtinity, just so we can make a revenue to be used for the port city (and some side money *wink).

k ru'sh naal?

This found acceptable and the city is founded under the name Atlantia as agreed.

Rustuffe lumber arrives at the city and construction begins on an official main port.

Shown is a map of the updated naval trade routes. The northern route is less used now due to Orshkal and the ease of navigating the seas thanks to the ship port at Atlantia. The middle route is westerly and the southern route is primarily easterly.

Trade has been offered to the large middle island to the east of Espovon, in addition they have been further questioned about their culture and what the islands name is.

The Disciple Ren Kai has been slain!
In the Orshkal capitol of Tresnyagrad where the wise elderly Disciple of Bao then had been preaching of the healing power the Bao could have over the lives of all those forced to work for a King whom took his riches from others without helping anyone in return.
In the middle of a speech, a cloaked figure in the crowd approached the Disciple.
Ren Kai did not flinch as the man lunged at him with a knife, and the man escaped into the terrified crowd.

In his home city of Teijina, a great funeral cairn is built, and The Immortal Bao gathers his people to speak.
They should not harbor ill will towards the Orshkal, as they would for such unjust of a crime. Dyeong Sun Bao said that it was a message that there are those whom would not have the will of Bao benefit all. These citizens of Orshkal were not at fault that their King would try and prevent their education. No, it was in fact the duty of those who would follow the will of Bao to ensure these innocent folk were granted such basic rights. It would be the will of Bao that Ru'sh Naal free the citizens of Orshkal.

Ambassadors of the will of Bao are dispatched with troops of guards of the Arm of Bao into Orshkal. The soldiers do not enter the cities but set up camp outside while the Ambassadors enter the cities to begin delivering the message to them that they must unite in peace to ensure their King would not force the country into a war. In Tresnyagrad, Do Kim Kai, The current secretary of Parliament, requests immediate meeting with the King. Should he show wisdom in this time of change, Ru'sh Naal would ensure prosperity for both nations.

He has three propositions for the King, that the King may consult his advisers over the best option for himself and his people.

Should the king agree to rules binding his power over the laws of the people, he could retain his position of authority, given that his ordinances would be subject to a body of parliament consisting of representatives for the widely spaced cities, that all actions would benefit the kingdom. The patrol of the Estic Ocean would also become regulated and allow for free trade throughout the region regaurdless of country of origin.
Should the king disagree to the limitations of his rule, he should disagree with being in the position of a ruler which brings the second proposition, that the Parliament of Orshkal be established as mentioned before, but with an elected representative of the people in place of the King.
Ru'sh Naal has many experiences with running elections and will be more than helpful should either of these options be chosen to facilitate a smooth transition into a better experience for the people of the nation.

The third proposition is that Ru'sh Naal would manually enforce the presence of a Parliament of Orshkal.

The national army begins conducting training exercises in the coastal area to the north west of Ru'sh Naal in lands donated for such use by the Wereu tribe. Members of this tribe in watching feel inspired to fight along side these organized soldiers in the name of one they consider to be a deity.

In order to facilitate the selection of the next Disciple, Dyeong Sun Bao founds the cult of Bao to select the brightest Kais and the most dedicated patrons of the Temple of Bao that he may more see who would readily accept his teachings.

Random Events No. 16
Last one was actually 15, my bad.

Lotavik:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Ezbátu:  Pirates preying on vessels of various nationalities based in the islands above Varakia are ousted by Ezbatan naval forces and have reportedly entered into the paid service of Orshkal which is now using hem to strengthen its blockade on Molenia and enforce its own agendas.  Ezbatu takes control of these now abandoned islands and they become a part of Varakia.  (MIL:  80%)

Atenisia:  A large and powerful nation to Atensia's West begins to take notice with some dismay at Atensia's invasion of lands that once paid it tribute.  An emissary is sent to the capitol of Atensia, but being a pagan is treated poorly.  The nation blockades all traffic along the Ateni-Caprican Trade Route.  This NPC's post will be below and appear in the next map update, which is soon to come, maybe even double post soon.  (NPC:  30%)

Avalonia:  With things continuing to go fairly smoothly for Avalonia, the population experiences slightly above average growth and shows signs of political and social stability.  (POP:  60%)

Galaumia:  The leader of the Conservative faction is learned to be in contact with a group of radical and violent monarchists connected with the AEIU.  His party loses both membership and standing in Galaumia and fragments into two groups: the Old Conservative Party - which is exactly what the party has been, and the New Conservative Party - a notably more moderate group calling for something akin to a constitutional monarchy where the nobles have the power.  The man has fled to Irajinad where he reportedly committed Self Delete.  (POL:  90%)

Caprica:  With the war to the North still raging, the Caprican economy has suffered from relative isolation from Zesisoter, recent isolation from the Ateni, and little coming from Auria.  With the economy stagnant, many revert to subsistence farming, and bandits roam the highways almost unopposed.  (ECN:  20%)

Hlaohamarr:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Auria:  What goods came from Caprica to stimulate the economy come to a halt, and only the little that comes from South Calzone and Sordelands sustains the country.  Many people, both rich and poor, are suffering economically as a result, and robberies, extortion, and kidnappings for ransom money are growing ever more common.   (ECN:  10%)

Espovon:  With Espovon's recent economic importance to both Atensia and Avalonia, people in Espovon have more capital to do business with, and the economy is able to improve slightly.  (ECN:  60%)

Rēsugurētā:  Literally all of Rēsugurētā's surrounding fiefdoms swear to uphold the Shogun's power, and the ones that he had traveled through in his exile send people to get him back into power.  Rēsugurētā's civil war takes a turn in the Shogun's favor, and defeat, at this point seems extremely unlikely.  (NPC: 100%)

Ru'sh Naal:  Longevity in Ru'sh Naal is found to be well above that in any of its neighbors, and people tend to be healthier in these longer lives than people in neighboring nations.  Many ascribe this to the local diet.  Immigration increases.  (POP:  80%)

Orshkal's people, loyal to their King whose rule has brought them prosperity and prominence, cast stones at the people of Ru'sh Naal.  Some, of course, would have it the other way around, but those that speak out are stoned as well, and those that don't leave Orshkal.  Ru'sh Naal's armies in Orshkal are captured after a brief struggle with overwhelmingly greater forces, and the men are thrown into the ocean, chained to heavy rocks.  Orshkal's King issues a proclamation that if Ru'sh Naal should dare to attempt to depose him again, he will not turn back his hand from wiping out the entire nation.

Kingdom of Ilystric
General Information: A Kingdom whose hereditary monarch has been tempered with the power of courts of the Nobles and Commoners.  It has enjoyed centuries of support from its neighbors and been actively involved in creating strong ties.  Its noble line is mixed with that of many local fiefdoms and states.
Government type: Limited Monarchy
Capitol city: Castelum
Model culture: Latin
Population: 2,878,900
Languages: Latin
Military information: 500,000  Roman style Legions.  When needed similarly armed troops from neighboring nations have routinely been sent to their aid.

Updated Map - ALL
Updated Map - POLITICAL

The war between Romicia and Ajakstan has turned in Romicia's favor, more or less, but a good she could put things back on the line again.
Avalonia's colony increases included.
Atensia's land expansions included.
I don't know about the specifics for Atensia's involvement in the islands, including whether or not it's mapworthy yet.
Ilystric has been added.
Ezbatu's inclusion of them islands mentioned in the REs included.
I'm not quite sure what to do about Saobar and Lotavik, so I'm keeping it all as Lotavik, at least for the time being.  This will possibly be altered as events continue to develop.

If I missed anything, speak up.

The lands Atensia has taken weren't specifically in Ilystric's sphere, but it's a friend of a friend kind of thing, and Ilystric has to keep its friends happy to have friends.

Avalonia continues talks with Asar, but it seems like they're not going anywhere.

uhm ok

traders start taking a little bit of a farther journey around Ilystric peacefully because forget the police.

don't attack them, or else mofo.

we've been expanding into these lands long before you crapped out of god's starfish :)

also how come the holy order isn't a thing anymore
(what happened to the green borders)

Atenisia sends a diplomat along with a trading caravan to Caprica to discuss possible economical aid/significant deisolation along with some military/militia support (for bandits), under the terms it begins to accept Christianity and has closer ties to Atenisia and the Holy Order.

also we also can into of intoed fully the island above the current claim.

also we would like an espovon atenisian sea route drawn pls :)

Missionaries from all over the Holy Order reach as far as Ezbátu, but only reach significant effects as far as Romicia.

we've been expanding into these lands long before you crapped out of god's starfish :)
It's only now that you've pushed far enough West for them to notice/care.

also how come the holy order isn't a thing anymore
(what happened to the green borders)
Thank you for pointing it out.  Odds are I muffed that up cutting and pasting borders or something like that.  Will fix momentarily.

Missionaries from all over the Holy Order reach as far as Ezbátu, but only reach significant effects as far as Romicia.
I am talking about the government accepting Christianity.

(POL:  90%)
The Chief promises to negotiate with the New Conservative Party, but members of the Old Conservative Party will be hunted down and killed. All as of right now are asked to renouce their membership . If they do this, they are given amnesty. If they do not, they will be asked to leave. If they do not leave, they will die. Galaumia will not accept men who associate with known murderers.

Fixed - All
Fixed Political

West Albiton, not being universally and officially Cassian, and pursuing a more isolated stance toward most of the Holy Order, is not a part of it, but still allied with East Albiton.

That ought to do it.  It now occurs to me that Ru'sh Naal made some inroads.  I've already made one edit, I'll fix this later.

Many of the Old Conservatives reject their party and join the New Conservatives.  The majority, however, flee to Irajinad and Osamar where they curse their ill luck and blah blah blah.

In Ilystric, unlike in many places, a fair smattering from most social classes accept the Cassian faith.  Many higher officials question loyalty, but it is made clear through sufficient proofs that loyalty lies to the homeland, and internal peace and stability is approximately maintained.

Dyeong Sun Bao realized he misjudged the people's willingness to rule themselves, and he understands it is a burden that not all feel confident enough to bear. As such he declares that there would be no force acted upon Orshkal in order to spare the lives of those who would mistakingly think they are fighting for their own best interest.

He declares a House of International Studies to be founded inside the Temple of Bao to further understand how the will of Bao can effectively be endowed upon other cultures.

Given grants of materials and funds by the state, Rustuffe merchants and laborers are sent to Atlantia in order to ensure the adequate construction of the city for commercial means, and many of these people end up taking permanant refuge in the city.

Ru'sh Naal's armies in Orshkal
Just wanted to clarify it was more like four bands of 20-30ish soldiers not so much armies I was marching in there, my people wouldn't stand for just an outright invasion like that

uhm why is west albiton including the goddamn capital of the holy order and the church and not be cassian?

i think the map is wrong.

yup, it is:
Albiton undergoes a split after a combination of widespread corruption, national administrative and executive gridlock make many nobles believe that the nation cannot support itself as it is.  The large island and the entirety of the peninsula with the capitol on it form East Albiton, and the rest forms West Albiton.  In West Albiton, many supporters of Atensia lose their lives or their property as the nation pursues a more distant relationship with its neighbors.  It is currently unclear whether West Albiton will be a part of the Holy Order, as the Cassian faith was imposed less willingly in the region, and it is rumored that many desire freedom of worship.
