Random Events No. 18
Lotavik: Lotavik's weak, almost puppet, government is bolstered by political support from wealthy landowners in the West, and is able to efficiently collect taxes, establish and maintain law and order, and cement its position among the people. (POL: 90%)
Ezbatan States: The majority of the Ezbatan States agree to a pact ensuring that interstate trade will not be inhibited greatly by any one state or coalition of states. Resistors are mostly in the former Varakia. (ECN: 60%)
Atenisia: Most Ateni believe that attacking the fundamentalist state is a good thing, and the government is well looked upon. (POL: 60%)
Avalonia: By some miracle, the military dictatorship in Avalonia is overthrown by a coalition of members of the Order of the Golden Lion, people still loyal to the Council Government, political and military advisors from Ormica and Espul, and people unhappy with the way things were going under the dictatorship. The Council returns to Avalonia, along with hordes and hordes of loyal citizens. The war for Geran ends, and Cassians are returned to their position of dishonor (and more so given their support for the military dictatorship). Siderland is reluctantly given the opportunity to become independent of the New Union given that its distance from the mainland will make it hard to consider its needs during the rebuilding years; Siderland accepts. After a brief Second Civil War, the Council Government establishes full control over the nation and exiles myriads of the unfaithful (lower members of the dictatorship's regime, probable spies, prominent Cassians, &c.) to South Calzone. (POL: 100% )
Galaumia: A plague passes through Galaumia, and around 300,000 die. It is believed that this is the same disease that passed through Siderland. (POP: 0%)
Caprica: Free East Caprica joins up with Caprica. With its situation improving, Romicia begins to look to build up Caprica so that it can be a shield from barbarian tribes to the South. (NPC: 80%)

Espovon: East Albiton, ignoring its shattered brother state's cries for help, instead sends fleets of ships to conquer Espovon and force it to become wholly Cassian. (NPC: 10%)
Rēsugurētā: After centuries of rebuilding the power of the Shogunate, the perceived honor, glory, and authority of the Shogun once again seems to be reaching the levels it did before plague, famine, and civil war struck. (POL: 80%)
Ru'sh Naal: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
South Calzone enters a period of political and social unrest as refugees from Avalonia's Second Civil War, the Ateni Civil War, and the Marivan Revolution all pour into the nation. Crazy, zealous, revolutionary fervor grips the area, and the government, unable to suppress increasingly violent and riled up mobs, collapses. South Calzone is what it was when Avalonia found it times 100.
Stuff is brought back from Siderland. Avalonia's final colony declares independence but promises to aid Avalonia when it is possible. Being basically unable to do anything about it, Avalonia is forced to let it go. Envoys are sent to Plexia, Geran, and the Britonic States to make them consider entering the New Union. Thanks is sent to Ormica and Espul, and both nations are offered representation (one seat each on the New Council) within the New Union for 100 years, even if they should choose not to be a part of it (although the offer is there if they like).
The Chairman of the Avalonian Council makes a moving speech to his countrymen, calling for all citizens to make the New Avalonia worthy of the name, and encourages each person to do his best to support things as things settle down.
