Random Events No. 13
Lotavik: The Tasmenovan government secretly condemns any and all generals and soldiers involved in any hostilities with Lotavik almost overnight. Immediately, the offending troops are recalled and during the middle of the night disarms and captures the Tasmenovan rebels involved in Lotavik's coup. The Tasmenovan government then sends a message to Lotavik offering to restore the old alliance and aid in destroying any rebels native to Lotavik. (POL: 100%)
Ezbátu: Zenian forces conduct a large scale raid to the North, bringing lands all the way to the sea under Zenian control. Local officials refuse to accept direct Zenian control, but agree to pay tribute and accept a Zenian military and economic presence on a coastal city and in the capitol, as well as a trade route on which Ezbatan merchants may not be taxed to said city. (MIL: 90%)
Atenisia: Increased trade caused by solidarity within The Holy Nations brings about a larger food surplus, a baby boom, and a generally greater tolerance of foreign tradition so long as the foreigners are Cassain Catholic. Medical techniques traveling from Avalonia to Dirvash to Atensia decrease mortality rates of various diseases. (POP: 80%)
Avalonia: The larger part of the population of Geran, about 300,000 strong accepts Avalonian protectorate status, while another 200,000 or so toward the border of Espul likewise accept the status of protectorate under Espul. Open borders between the two protectorates are guaranteed. (POP: 80%)
Galaumia: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Caprica: A high ranking, well liked general involved in the capture of the lands to the East conspires with leaders in the recently captured lands to form an independent nation. He and almost half of the Caprican army and their families desert to the East and declare independence, causing some minor damage and destruction as they relocate, but causing little destruction overall. It seems that the general has no plans of going to war with Caprica, merely of attaining independence. (MIL: 0%)
Hlaohamarr: Aldegar manages to hold the line against Hlaoman forces, repress guerrilla action behind the lines, and inflict somewhat more damage to Hlaoman forces than they received. The war, in their eyes, is a stalemate, and they see fit to secure and keep the land they have rather than face the grueling task of taking the rest of Hlaohamarr, unless things should change. (NPC: 40%)
Auria: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Espovon: Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Rēsugurētā: Pestilence and famine move through the Rēsunese homeland, claiming over 20,000 lives. Although the plague has miraculously vanished, food production remains barely at subsistence level as many farmers died and their lands lie fallow and untended. (POP: 0%)
The Council reminds the member speaking out that no forced inclusion was planned. Avalonia communicates to Espul the need for open borders to keep the two protectorates happy under their new rulers, and the reply is to the affirmative, so the lands grow (I'll edit the map to show the new border).
