Dangit.  I was literally about to post something about recording history in Ezbátu.  Oh well.  Here goes.

A fraternal organization residing at The Vålderesk School that has been in existence since just before the Great Vålderesk Fire, called the Ezbatan Chronicler's Society, demands that the governments of Ezbátu record their histories, so that future generations may know of the lives and the legacies of their ancestors.

Galaumia has no need for a public way to record history, it is recorded orally and in the Library of Galaumia.

Speaking of which the Library of Galaumia is restored to house various important documents, from the Rēsugurētā language, to ancient treaties, to public speeches in the Assembly. It was already established by the time Rēsugurētā was founded, but it fell into disuse. It is now being renovated and filled with new works. They will be documented here (sorry for stealing idea Ladios).

Works in the Library of Galaumia:
Art of War
Ancient Treaties involving Aspien (Rough account of name, conversation has been cut off for hundreds of years)
Rēsugurētān Language
Frenzia II v Irajinadian Monarchy Debate over System of Government for Galaumia
Collection of Assembly Notes & Speeches I
More to Come

The New Union proposes some political marriages.  Espul's Crown Prince with Graniaton's eldest princess, the Britonic States' unwed King with the Saxon League's eldest princess, and the middle daughter of one of Avalonia's oldest families with the middle son of Ormica's royal family.  All three nations are invited to become a part of the New Union at this point (SWAT, if you could moderate this, and remember that close ties have been nurtured for a while now, other marriages, trade, feasts, gifts &c.).

The Library of Nazgar receives a dusting, and efforts are made to ensure that older works are copied with scrupulous exactness and the original documents preserved.  Included in the older works that undergo this are the transcripts of the Avalonian Council's meetings from a bit before 1 AD when meeting content was first recorded in an abbreviated form to a more thorough transcribing method that existed before the Avalonian Revolution, as well as the shorthand transcripts of the days of exile, and the again thorough method used up to this day.  Religious works including Dreibetungist, Cassian, Baoist, and Buddhist mstar fishcripts are also copied with painful exactness.  The process is expected to take quite a while, as the exactness involved will include a letter and word count, as well as finding the middle letter and word in each text and comparing it to that in the transcription.

Wouldn't a lot of documents get destroyed in the revolution?

Avalonia continues to arm and fortify Tutrle Island, and Dreibetungist missionaries become a common sight on the mainland near it, and elsewhere in the Southern World.
Atenisia brings this up with the Pope as a hypo-loving-critical move by Avalonia and a purposeful attack on the Catholic mainland.

need a new atenisia ball:
Atenisia sends missionaries to Avalonia
Avalonia: "Hurr atenisia how DARE u do this so unjust and disrespectful"
Avalonia expells missionaries.
Missionary feud occurs once more.
And once again expelled.
Again.
And once again expelled.

Hundreds of years later:
Avalonia: "Hurrr I am going to spread my religion to your continent."

If you can't lick em

The Wise Bao, Wei Kim, has passed and a grand ceremony is held in honor of the Bao whom in his wisdom helped lead the nation out of the age of darkness.

Hatol-Wun Kai becomes Bao.

[I would still appreciate a moderator ruling on the proposition that Teijin sponsor an international Kai university in the Eastern Rustuffe floaty bit there, with Teijin gaining the profits from the school for the first while after it is built.]

Classic defensive spiral.  For your information, Turtle Island is being fortified so that when the Cassian bloc decides that the New Union is next on the menu, I'll be able to hold my ground or have your coalition pay in blood for its aggression.  If I really wanted to attack you at this juncture, I would not give such an obvious hint before doing so, I would try to strike out of the blue.

As it is, the Dreibetungist missionaries go no farther than the corner there, meaning that they're in Calzone, which was formerly in the Dreibetungist sphere and is yet contested, having some influence from that faith still - your heartland is in no way the target of the missionaries.

Some stuff was destroyed, of course, but the violence in Nazgar was over rather quickly (my A-Team based there betrayed me, not much to be done about that) and the military regime had little interest in destroying all that - its focus was more on reclaiming various parts of the Union than on wiping out all traces of the oligarchs that preceded them.  On top of this, concerted efforts were made by pro-Council citizens to preserve many documents pertaining to the government, and there were missions by the Council government to get documents and books out of Nazgar and into Siderland while it operated out of there, so that when the military regime fell, there was not a whole lot for a Nero Decree to accomplish on that front.

The New Union ignores Atensia's paranoia and protests and continues to arm and fortify Turtle Island.  Its ports and shipyards are also improved.

Tejina ultimately would prefer to import Rustuffe teachers into a college of their own, but internal politics presently prevents this.  Tejina offers to invest a moderate amount annually and be allowed to jointly oversee construction and the choice of professors (they want some of their own wise men in there).

Hey Pleth can I get some moderation on my actions, if anything is to be said?

Ru'sh Naal graciously accepts Tejina's bargain given the recent push for foreign academics in order to expand the variety of thought processes that may be applied to social and scientific issues, and laborers who have long been without a main project to focus on in decades, are given the opportunity to work on this new academy for the glory of the nation and the people of this planet.

The Empire of The People of Ru'sh Naal

In memory of the great leaders whom had worked to restore this nation, Honorable President Wau Lis'ei-Kim Kai commissions a new royal banner to represent the authority now tasked with maintaining the well-being of the Rustuffe people.

The banner is meant to depict the children of the great Hai Kim Tei'Kai. The older brother, Wei Kim, whom would be known as one of the wisest of Bao's, is pictured as a bold and intelligent elephant, while the younger brother, Dyon Kim, known for being the most fierce advocate of the people during his presidency, is imaged as a powerful tiger.

While officially established some time ago, the transition from the Ru'sh Naal Union to the Empire state was a gradual one, but a change that has seen the restoration of many civil liberties, an increase in economic output, and a decrease in overall governmental corruption.

The citizens are still polled for their popularity on measures, and any unpopular rulings that are deemed necessary by the state are given an brown townysis committee to determine how to best adjust for the public opinion. The local leadership is nominated by members of the current governing body, with the public being allowed to choose from the best candidates, as was the system established under Wau's father. The new poll method allows for further accuracy in determining what ordinances to pass regionally as well.

That's the best flag you've made yet.

Hey Pleth can I get some moderation on my actions, if anything is to be said?
The nonaggression pact is declined, but it is offered that ambassadors come into effect, and trade resumes.

Can you do mine?

The Dreibetungist missionaries are received westward kindly up until Calzone.  In Calzone, different townships receive others better, and some not as well, as there seems to be a moderate balance between Dreibetungist and Cassian towns.  Dreibrtungist missionaries heading east find other religions such Hinduism and strong traditional ancestor worship, and receive less influence there.  The western direction seems to promise a greater harvest.

news flash: people don't like other peoples religions, but they like their own
The point I am making is that Avalonia was all huffy-puffy about Atenisia sending missionaries to their lands, and it wasn't just about religion but about people aligning to the Pope and not Avalonia.

Atenisia sees the Avalonian missionaries as a threat to the papal states, and addresses this to the Pope.
