Ex-Arm of Bao soldiers responsible for the releasing of military elephants manage to escape north with approximately three dozen, the rest of the elephants roaming the city were a result of not having enough soldiers to corral all of them on the elephant heist, but was passed off as part of the plan when Teijina Militia thanked the soldiers for their assistance.

These elite soldiers form a band calling themselves "Naal Yeao Ru" Or "United Liberators of the Ru" and begin using the stolen elephants to intercept the Taijoua soldiers returning from the battle with Ezbatuan forces in the south, while killing very few, sending many of the already wounded and tired soldiers scattering in fear.

There's that island above Zurukland.

I'm looking for land that provides resources for future attrition if it ever happens

Cavalry archers enter the area first, causing mayhem for all enemies inside.  During this time, soldier-workers enter the area and begin to move rubble so that the rest of the army may squeeze its way in.

Patrol groups in the Gulf of Ru gather and temporarily cut off and engage the Taijoan fleet while the united navy warships approach from the southwest.

I would like to express that Avalonia is breaking the contact limit.

Teijina Militia and Naal Yeao Ru forces overtake the capitol in Teijina city and release a statement declaring an end to the rule of Gunxi over the Ru and the intention to establish a government not controlled by religion, but by the people.

At sea, the united navy, out sizing the response force 4 to 1, annihilates the force and heads for Teijina, where the Ezbatan force arrives at the same time.  Reinforcements are sent through, and surrender of Teijina is completed.

More reinforcements arrive from the south, doubling the full Ezbatan force.  They bring with them spare food to provide for those who have lost goods in the last regime.

Also happy 1400th reply.

Hwan Ghou Kai and his men wait to start the assault on Ru'sha until recieving word of the capture of Teijina and the departure of the primary Taijoua military towards the southeast. With various portions of Ghou's forces stationed throughout Ru'sha the Taijoua Gaurd currently in the city are unable to determine a specific direction of attack.
Ghou's soldiers march through the alleyways and sidestreets of the town, pushing the guards out into the open of the avenues, until a large portion of troops are surrounded in the center of Ru'sha and a demand given for them to either abandon their support Gungxi, leave the city, or face death.

I think it should be expected that as the time period grows closer and closer to the Age of Vikings/Age of Exploration, the contact limit should be expanded. Could we get moderator opinion on this?

I'd say that since Avalonia is following trade routes, it's okay.  The distance between Plexia and Albhad can't be too great, after all.

Also, going off-topic for a brief discussion here, but to Plethora and Ladios, the two programmers I am aware of here: How possible would it be to make an interactive map with java or flash or something, that could be easily adjusted by the Cartographers' Guild?

Out of my area of experience.  I gave it some thought a while back, but it seemed too great a task (at least for me alone), and classes resume for me on Monday, so I'll be unable to devote as much time as would be needed, likely, to make one.  I could reasonably field a program that'd give plausible population counts without having to deal with input more than once, but last time I tried something akin to that it wouldn't work on your apple type product because I programmed it on my pc (out of curiosity, do you have something on your computer that can compile C so I could just send you the code for that?  If so I'd have reason to make something pretty killer that could do RE rolls, keep track of population, and other fun stuff all in one shot maybe, wouldn't be super hard).

Its honostly something ive been interested in for a while but I have alot of irons in the fire and am currently programming a thing, but when I finish my first version of my game I can tackle this if Pleth hasn't done it yet.But thinking about it and this could be a good demonstration of the ui in my engine if I can get the whole applet in browser thing working

After the overthrow in Ru'sha, Hwan Ghou Kai leads his men to Old Daijoua, the sight of his prevoius excellent beseigment of the town under the previous unification wars. Due to his experience, he is able to lead his troops into the city with barely any casualties and attemps the same maneuver of forcing out the local Gunxi-supporting forces in the absense of the primary military defending the city.

Ezbatan, Gunixan, and Ashibian forces follow the General into battle, and with landslide victories, continue a campaign onto the Ru heartland.

Due to the ease of victory, there is not much time required for his troops to recuperate, thusly allowing Hwan Ghou Kai  to leave a detachment to watch over the city while traveling eastward to New Daijoua where the Titchwahk rebels are already causing a slight degree of chaos. They primarily focus their beseigement of the west of the city in order to draw Taijoua forces to that side in defense.

Teijina, Ru'sha , Mawahe
Words so frequently misspelled by you guys they are in official posts misspelled sometimes. I just assumed there would be different translations of the phonemes due the dialects of regions which would account for general transitions of lettering and such things over time. I do apologize I keep thinking there is a u in there and I find it silly I get it wrong but if it helps just interperate it as the people pronouncing the word differently.

For being included in the OTC?
I am still annoyed at this land contact limit cause it is in complete essense bullstuff. There has never been a distance limiting factor over the length someone could travel so long as we had consecutive road systems. The fall of rome was triggered by monogolians from the far east, somewhere they had even ventured to in the past. The polynesians laughed at the currents and extended their trade routes all the way from madagascar to the west coast of south america (and even around into the carribean according to some historians)

The problem was they wanted to artifically create the age of exploration due to the misunderstading that their own landmass isn't the only thing there. And the fact is that this is due to the nature of our hemispherical world that such distinctions exist. If we grew up on a pangaia environment the entire breadth of human history would be substantially different.

Not to mention the age of exploration was a primarily western focused event which if we are trying to model the entire world and its cultures in a theoretical situation, we have to be prepared for things to not be exactly the same.

Also it's not like these ships aren't stopping in at New Union ports to resupply along the way.

As trade with the East increases, alchemists in the New Union come to a better understanding of what caused the "Plexian Explosion."  Efforts to recreate the substance continue.

Merchants in the New Union begin to invest in better and better ships, spurring some advances in the field of shipbuilding.
