Author Topic: "Hatred" Most likely the most edgiest game ever announced!  (Read 20256 times)

    • The only gameplay shown off in this trailer is of the player character chasing down random civilians and doing edge-tastic executions because the player character is an edgelord who wants to die violently.
don't forget the apparently pusillanimous individual untrained cops that cant do stuff against your character

even IN THEIR OWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

you know i could see some value if the cops in this were like, a doom counter or something that you cant possibly fight because if the SWAT team finds you they'll blow your greasyhaired head off before you can shoot back and the game is built around racking up a spree while avoiding them, but it just looks like they'll be your standard incompetent ai mooks

as if people weren't blaming video games for shootings enough already

I like how people are trying to say that CoD and Battlefield is any different.
A soldier in real life still has a life, right? A family? If you're gunna be so loving nitpicky, don't forget that soldiers have lives too.

And how in GTA, People kill civilians OUT OF CHOICE instead of the game's focus being on it.

Honestly this game won't make it past ESRB. It'll get an AO rating and thus be stuffcanned from steam. Have fun selling your game then.

Except that they are. If you honestly do not understand the difference between this game and the ones you're listing there is nothing I can say and do to help you understand. The primary objective of GTA IV is to get revenge on the man who betrayed you in Albania/wherever. Even though you can kill civilians en masse, it is not the primary loving objective. The game is not telling you to shoot at civilians. It does not loving condone senseless genocide. Especially since wanted stars take forever and a half to dissipate in GTA IV, it definitely sends a clear message that genocide isn't exactly ok and that there are consequences.

If you're going to point to the edge-tastic level of call of duty, not only were you not required to gun down civilians, but there wasn't a "Kill X civvies to advance" bar. The only people you had to shoot (surprise, surprise) were the people SHOOTING AT YOU.

If you can't tell the difference, I strongly recommend you submit yourself to a psychological exam at your soonest inconvenience.

Make up your mind! Are cops evil oppressors or are they lazy, donut-eating sloths? Pick a generalized, uneducated stereotype and stick to it.

Its whatever fits our agenda best

Plot Twist: The game actually takes place in Ferguson

It's apparently being made by Polish devs. Kurwa.

It can be argued that this game is about the people who just play GTA to kill random people. If you make the enemies more human, what happens? Evidently now it's a big deal. The devs are probably trying to point out that if the civilians you're killing in games like GTA have no discernible human emotions of feelings then people think it's okay to kill them. That being said, I don't agree with that, but I'm open-minded enough to acknowledge the possibility.

    Por que no los dos?

how would this even be fun

Seriously, you CAN drive on the sidewalk and run over grannies until your engine gets dented into dysfunction, but that won't get you anywhere. In fact, going on a spree and getting cops on your ass will obstruct your progression through the game, because there are several missions that do not let you proceed unless you don't have the fuzz chasing you. The game allows you to go on a rampage, but it encourages you not to. If you are murdering civvies in GTA, it is not because the game requires you to, but because the player wants to. If you gun down all the layovered russkies in MW2, it is not because the game requires you to, but because the player wants to. Arekan, I don't know how many more times this needs to be explained to your dumb ass how these games are different from one where the only goal is to kill civilians and police.

If there's a positive aspect of this game (or more accurately the controversy behind it) is the fact we're at least having a somewhat reasonable discussion about it.

    let's not forget this;
Because I hate everyone who's even remotely attached to the executive branch of the US government.
'all cops are horrible people oh my!!'

this would actually be nice in a game

how would this even be fun
    this

a top down shooter shooting enemies with no weapons, some of them do but their aim will probably suck

shooting cops in a third person perspective, hmmm what kind of game has that

let's not forget this;'all cops are horrible people oh my!!'
That quote was a little exaggerated. I don't hate the government, I just don't support them.

Looking into it the devs Facebook is littered with extreme right and rascist books and propaganda so it's entirely possible they might just be a bunch of neo-national socialist pricks.

This is just personal conjecture based of the main devs Facebook page but I think I'm probably right.
