If we developed mass production robotic limbs like in Deus Ex, I think I'd actually get my arm amputated voluntarily to get one.  I think the experience would be interesting.

That is one stuffty thing about the current prosthetics market, if you want any real functionality you have to pay out the ass.

well losing a limb puts you on disability and like you get insurance and it covers most of the bills depending which benefits you get from it
