Would aluminum/lead weapons be any good?

if he wanted to have a melee weapon to kill someone with im pretty sure he'd get some of those 10 dollar ebay machetes other than forging his own aluminium one in his backyard

well first of all aluminum isnt suitable for a blade so ja probs a regular stainless kitchen knife

You could probably make like arrowheads or darts out of aluminum (probably not heavy enough) and lead slugs for slings.

Melting down certain steels ruins some properties of them. Not all steel is the the same. Good quality blades use a different steel than flashy, stainless steel blades.

If you're interested, look it up. Its not such a simple process as people think.

Honestly, just learn how to use a forge. Reshaping good, flat pieces of steel is not only easier, but it also keeps most of the structural properties in the blade. Plus it makes you seem like a badass.
