Author Topic: Does anyone else really dislike school?  (Read 4543 times)

I am probably speaking truly for most people when I say any school after highschool is great because you actually have a reason for being there. I didn't go to highschool to take PE classes, which is why I didn't like PE.

Asking this question is like going to a church on saturday and seeing if they all believe in their religion.
Of course the answer is yes lol.

i dont like waking up early

while I believe PE is good for school in some rights, absolutely nobody should be forced to take it

tbh, the only class I'm taking right now that I don't like is PE

Not because it's difficult or that I'm unfit, but because I feel like the teacher is patronizing me

now that is a problem when it comes to PE

Its not that bad really, as long as my friends are there (cuz half the people I hang out with skip school alot or get "sick" every other week). The schedule does suck though, since I live in the next town over and have to get up at 5:45, and this year my state has new standardized tests in addition to the normal ones. Also my chemistry teacher is evil when it comes to homework and assigns ridiculous things (one had like 80 really time consuming questions, etc). I'm not taking any AP or Honors though, and I feel really dumb because of it.

I have no opinion on school. I mean, it's there cause I need it. I don't have to like it, but I have to do it, so I just deal with it.

I love it, it's just so easy. though I'm only taking two honors this year and no AP's (school only offers one more honors for my schedule anyways, not a big deal)

I'd enjoy it if we didn't have to wake up so early.

In my highschool, it's definitely worth it after sophomore year because you get a stuffton of more options to choose from with electives. Right now I'm taking a trigonometry elective, engineering elective, and chemistry. They have other awesome classes for people who interested in other fields such at medical or automotive. All my teachers are pretty awesome too. Most are willing to stay at most 2-3 hours after school ends to help students with homework and/or projects.

My blood pressure raises more during the school year, then lowers in the summer so....

People who run the education system have low standards and are entirely focused on education as a product, rather than education as a means to raise children as productive members of society.
This.^
I mean when teachers are explaining why what they're teaching is important, they tell us that it's much harder in middle school/high school/college, not how it would help in a job. They never say "Oh well you'll use X when you're in job Y." It's always "These are good test-taking skills for high school" and "These grades can be counted as college credit."
Let's be honest here, am I really going to need to know who the three royal governors of Georgia were during the colonial period?
